لم يتخيل رجل هندي أن رغبته البسيطة في تذوق قطعة مثلجات باردة قد تتحول في جزء من الثانية إلى كابوس مرعب يسلب الأنفاس، ليوثق بدم بارد سقوطاً حراً من علو كاد أن ينهي حياته تماماً، في واقعة هزت ولاية «أوتار براديش» الهندية واجتاحت منصات التواصل كالنار في الهشيم بعد أن رصدتها كاميرات المراقبة بدقة.
القصة بدأت بكسل وتصرف عفوي، فالرجل كان يستمتع بوقته في شرفة منزله بالطابق الأول، عندما لمح بائع الآيسكريم المتجول يمر في الأزقة أسفل المبنى، وبدلاً من أن يتكبد عناء النزول على الدرج إلى الشارع، فكر في حيلة ذكية واختصار للوقت، فنادى على البائع طالباً منه قذف قطعة الآيسكريم أو رفعها إليه مباشرة وهو واقف في مكانه بالأعلى.
لكن الكسل قاد إلى لحظة جنون، حيث انحنى الرجل بجسده بشكل مبالغ فيه وتجاوز نقطة التوازن الآمنة فوق حافة الشرفة محاولاً بيأس التقاط الآيسكريم، لتفلت الجاذبية منه في لمحة عين، ويجد نفسه طائراً في الهواء قبل أن يرتطم بالأرض بسقوط عنيف ومروع أمام أعين المارة المذهولين، وسط صراخ وذعر الجيران وأفراد عائلته الذين هرعوا لإنقاذه من وسط الدماء والصدمة.
الرجل نُقل على وجه السرعة بسيارات الإسعاف إلى المستشفى، ولحسن حظه كتب له عمر جديد، وأعلنت السلطات الطبية والمحلية أن حالته مستقرة الآن وإصاباته البالغة لا تشكل خطراً على حياته، بينما سارعت الشرطة لإغلاق الملف مؤكدة عدم وجود أي شبهة جنائية وأن الأمر مجرد حادثة عرضية ناجمة عن الإهمال وفقدان الاتزان، لتبقى اللقطات متداولةً كتحذير صارخ وصاعق لكل من يستهين بالمرتفعات من أجل رغبة عابرة.

The story began with laziness and a spontaneous act, as the man was enjoying his time on the balcony of his first-floor home when he spotted an ice cream vendor passing through the alleys below the building. Instead of making the effort to go down the stairs to the street, he thought of a clever trick to save time and called out to the vendor, asking him to throw a piece of ice cream or lift it directly to him while he stood in place above.
But laziness led to a moment of madness, as the man leaned his body excessively and crossed the safe balance point over the edge of the balcony, desperately trying to catch the ice cream. Gravity slipped away from him in the blink of an eye, and he found himself flying through the air before crashing to the ground in a violent and horrifying fall in front of astonished passersby, amidst the screams and panic of neighbors and family members who rushed to save him from the blood and shock.
The man was quickly transported by ambulance to the hospital, and fortunately for him, he was given a new lease on life. Medical and local authorities announced that his condition is now stable and that his serious injuries do not pose a threat to his life, while the police hurried to close the case, confirming that there was no suspicion of criminal activity and that it was merely an accidental incident resulting from negligence and loss of balance, leaving the footage circulating as a stark and shocking warning to anyone who underestimates heights for a fleeting desire.
