عُقد اليوم في الرياض اجتماع الطاولة المستديرة السعودية – الأردنية، برئاسةوزير الاستثمار المهندس خالد بن عبدالعزيز الفالح، ووزير الاستثمار الأردني الدكتور طارق أبو غزالة، وبحضور سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية الأمير منصور بن خالد بن فرحان، وسفير المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية لدى المملكة العربية السعودية هيثم أبو الفول، ورئيس مجلس الأعمال السعودي – الأردني عبدالرحمن الثبيتي.
وشهد الاجتماع مشاركة عدد من ممثلي القطاعين الحكومي والخاص السعودي جرى خلاله بحث الفرص الاستثمارية الواعدة، وتعزيز الشراكات الثنائية، ومناقشة سبل تمكين المستثمرين، بما يسهم في نمو الاستثمارات المتبادلة بين البلدين، ويدعم تحقيق مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030 ورؤية «التحديث الاقتصادي» الأردنية حتى عام 2033م.
وعلى هامش الاجتماع، وقّعت وزارة الاستثمار السعودية ونظيرتها الأردنية ملحقًا معدلًا لاتفاقية تشجيع وحماية الاستثمارات المتبادلة بين البلدين الشقيقين، في خطوة تهدف إلى تحديث الأطر القانونية والتنظيمية للاستثمارات وتعزيز جاذبية البيئة الاستثمارية واستدامة التعاون الاقتصادي بين المملكة والأردن.
وفي إطار المساعي المشتركة لتعزيز التكامل الاقتصادي بين البلدين، وقّعت هيئة المدن والمناطق الاقتصادية الخاصة في المملكة العربية السعودية، ووزارة الاستثمار في المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، مذكرة تفاهم تهدف إلى توطيد التعاون الثنائي في مجال المناطق الاقتصادية الخاصة من خلال تبادل الخبرات وتعزيز القدرات التنافسية للمدن والمناطق الاقتصادية الخاصة، وتنظيم ورش عمل متخصصة، وتنفيذ زيارات ميدانية.
ويؤكد اجتماع الطاولة المستديرة وما نتج عنه من اتفاقيات عمق العلاقات الأخوية والإستراتيجية التي تجمع المملكة العربية السعودية والمملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، وحرص البلدين على تعزيز التكامل الاقتصادي وتوسيع الشراكات الاستثمارية بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة، ويواكب التحولات التنموية الإقليمية والعالمية.
Today, a Saudi-Jordanian roundtable meeting was held in Riyadh, chaired by Minister of Investment Engineer Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih and Jordanian Minister of Investment Dr. Tariq Abu Ghazaleh, with the presence of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan, the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Haitham Abu Al-Foul, and the Chairman of the Saudi-Jordanian Business Council, Abdulrahman Al-Thubaiti.
The meeting witnessed the participation of several representatives from the Saudi public and private sectors, during which promising investment opportunities were discussed, enhancing bilateral partnerships, and exploring ways to empower investors, contributing to the growth of mutual investments between the two countries, and supporting the achievement of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Jordanian "Economic Modernization" vision until 2033.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Saudi Ministry of Investment and its Jordanian counterpart signed an amended annex to the agreement for encouraging and protecting mutual investments between the two brotherly countries, in a step aimed at updating the legal and regulatory frameworks for investments and enhancing the attractiveness of the investment environment and the sustainability of economic cooperation between the Kingdom and Jordan.
As part of the joint efforts to enhance economic integration between the two countries, the Special Economic Cities and Zones Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Investment in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of special economic zones through the exchange of experiences and enhancing the competitive capabilities of special economic cities and zones, organizing specialized workshops, and conducting field visits.
The roundtable meeting and the resulting agreements affirm the depth of the brotherly and strategic relations that bind the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the two countries' keenness to enhance economic integration and expand investment partnerships to serve mutual interests and keep pace with regional and global developmental transformations.
