دعا رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني رشاد العليمي، اليوم (الجمعة)، اليمنيين إلى «التعبئة العامة والنفير» والالتحاق بصفوف القوات المسلحة، معلناً في الوقت ذاته مبادرة للعفو الشامل عن المقاتلين في صفوف الحوثيين والعاملين لمصلحتهم ممن يبادرون إلى ترك الجماعة والتوقف عن القتال، في وقت تشهد جبهات يمنية عدة تصعيداً عسكرياً متسارعاً.
عفو لمن يغادر صفوف الحوثي
وفتح العليمي باب العودة أمام المقاتلين والعاملين في صفوف الحوثيين، قائلاً: «كل من يبادر، من تاريخ هذا اليوم عشية السادس والعشرين من سبتمبر، إلى ترك المليشيات الحوثية الإرهابية، والتوقف عن القتال في صفوفها، أو العمل لصالحها، سيكون مشمولاً بعفو شامل يصدر لاحقاً وفق الإجراءات الدستورية والقانونية».
«وصولاً إلى صنعاء»
وقال رئيس مجلس القيادة: «أدعو أبناء شعبنا للتعبئة العامة والنفير والالتحاق بصفوف القوات المسلحة»، مؤكداً أن الهدف يتمثل في استعادة مؤسسات الدولة وبسط سيادتها على الأراضي اليمنية «وصولاً إلى صنعاء».
وشدد العليمي على أن «المعارك الوطنية الكبرى لا تُقاس بالتقدم والتراجع المؤقت»، في إشارة إلى التحولات الميدانية التي شهدتها جبهات القتال خلال الفترة الأخيرة.
تصعيد على الجبهات
وتأتي دعوة العليمي في خضم تصعيد عسكري متسارع، بعدما حقق الحوثيون تقدماً في مناطق إستراتيجية خلال الأسابيع الماضية، خصوصاً قرب الساحل الغربي وباب المندب.
وكان العليمي أكد، أمس (الخميس)، ثقته بقدرة القوات المسلحة اليمنية على «استعادة المبادرة» وبسط سيطرتها على كامل الأراضي اليمنية.
دعم القوات وإنهاء التهديد
وخلال لقائه السفيرة البريطانية لدى اليمن عبدة شريف، اعتبر العليمي أن دعم المجتمع الدولي للحكومة اليمنية وقواتها المسلحة والمقاومة الشعبية يمثل، من وجهة نظر حكومته، المسار الأكثر استدامة لإنهاء التهديد الحوثي.
وتأتي هذه التصريحات امتداداً لمواقف أعلنها خلال الأسابيع الأخيرة، إذ أكد في 7 سبتمبر استمرار القوات التابعة للحكومة في عملياتها، بعد تحقيق مكاسب ميدانية في جبهات الجوف والبيضاء وتعز والحديدة، وفق وكالة الأنباء اليمنية الرسمية.
The President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, called today (Friday) on Yemenis for "general mobilization and alertness" to join the armed forces, simultaneously announcing an initiative for a comprehensive amnesty for fighters within the ranks of the Houthis and those working in their interest who choose to leave the group and stop fighting, at a time when several Yemeni fronts are witnessing a rapid military escalation.
Amnesty for Those Leaving Houthi Ranks
Al-Alimi opened the door for return for fighters and those working within the ranks of the Houthis, stating: "Anyone who takes the initiative, from this day, the eve of the twenty-sixth of September, to leave the terrorist Houthi militias and stop fighting alongside them or working for their benefit, will be included in a comprehensive amnesty that will be issued later according to constitutional and legal procedures."
"Towards Sanaa"
The Chairman of the Leadership Council said: "I call upon our people to engage in general mobilization and to join the armed forces," emphasizing that the goal is to restore state institutions and assert their sovereignty over Yemeni territories "towards Sanaa."
Al-Alimi stressed that "the major national battles are not measured by temporary advances and retreats," referring to the field transformations that the battle fronts have witnessed in recent times.
Escalation on the Fronts
Al-Alimi's call comes amid a rapid military escalation, after the Houthis achieved progress in strategic areas over the past weeks, particularly near the western coast and Bab al-Mandab.
Al-Alimi had confirmed yesterday (Thursday) his confidence in the Yemeni armed forces' ability to "regain the initiative" and assert control over all Yemeni territories.
Support for the Forces and Ending the Threat
During his meeting with the British Ambassador to Yemen, Abda Sharif, Al-Alimi considered that international support for the Yemeni government, its armed forces, and popular resistance represents, from his government's perspective, the most sustainable path to ending the Houthi threat.
These statements come as a continuation of positions he announced in recent weeks, as he confirmed on September 7 the continuation of government-affiliated forces in their operations after achieving field gains in the fronts of Al-Jawf, Al-Bayda, Taiz, and Al-Hudaydah, according to the official Yemeni news agency.
