أظهرت بيانات الهيئة العامة للإحصاء أن معدل إشغال الغرف في فنادق المملكة بلغ 53.2% خلال الربع الثاني من عام 2025، مسجلًا انخفاضًا بمقدار 2.2 نقطة مئوية مقارنةً بالفترة ذاتها من عام 2024، التي بلغ فيها معدل الإشغال 55.4%.
وشهد معدل الإشغال في الشقق المخدومة ومرافق الضيافة الأخرى أيضًا انخفاضًا، حيث سجل 50.2% مقارنةً بـ 52.4% في الربع الثاني من العام الماضي، بانخفاض بلغ 2.2 نقطة مئوية.
ارتفاع عدد المرافق السياحية 58%
وأشارت البيانات إلى أن عدد مرافق الضيافة السياحية المرخصة في المملكة ارتفع بشكل ملحوظ ليبلغ 5,326 مرفقًا بنهاية الربع الثاني من عام 2025، مقارنة بـ 3,371 مرفقًا في الربع المماثل من عام 2024، أي بنسبة زيادة بلغت 58%.
وشكلت الفنادق 52.6% من إجمالي عدد المرافق، بعدد بلغ 2,799 فندقًا، في حين استحوذت الشقق المخدومة ومرافق الضيافة الأخرى على 47.4% بعدد 2,527 مرفقًا.
تراجع متوسط أسعار الغرف
وأوضحت الإحصاء أن متوسط السعر اليومي للغرفة في الفنادق خلال الربع الثاني من 2025 نحو 643 ريالًا سعوديًا، مسجلاً انخفاضاً بنسبة 3.9% عن السعر في نفس الفترة من العام السابق الذي بلغ 669 ريالًا.
أما في الشقق المخدومة ومرافق الضيافة الأخرى، فقد بلغ متوسط السعر اليومي 201 ريالًا، مرتفعًا بنسبة 1% مقارنة بـ 199 ريالًا في الربع الثاني من 2024.
انخفاض مدة الإقامة
كما بلغ متوسط مدة إقامة النزيل في الفنادق نحو 4.8 ليلة في الربع الثاني من 2025، منخفضًا بنسبة 7.7% مقارنة بـ 5.2 ليلة في الفترة نفسها من العام الماضي.
أما في الشقق المخدومة، فبلغ متوسط مدة الإقامة 2.0 ليلة، مقارنة بـ 2.1 ليلة في الربع الثاني 2024، بنسبة انخفاض بلغت 4.8%.
كما سجّل عدد المشتغلين في الأنشطة السياحية بالمملكة نحو 997,357 مشتغلًا خلال الربع الثاني من عام 2025، بارتفاع نسبته 4% مقارنةً بالربع المماثل من 2024، الذي بلغ فيه عدد المشتغلين 959,175.
وبلغ عدد السعوديين العاملين في القطاع 247,600 مشتغل، ما يمثل 24.8% من إجمالي العاملين، بينما بلغ عدد غير السعوديين 749,757 مشتغلًا بنسبة 75.2%.
ومن حيث الجنس، بلغ عدد الذكور العاملين في القطاع 865,626 مشتغلًا بنسبة 86.8%، فيما بلغ عدد الإناث 131,731 مشتغلة بنسبة 13.2%.
The data from the General Authority for Statistics showed that the room occupancy rate in the Kingdom's hotels reached 53.2% during the second quarter of 2025, recording a decrease of 2.2 percentage points compared to the same period in 2024, when the occupancy rate was 55.4%.
The occupancy rate in serviced apartments and other hospitality facilities also saw a decline, recording 50.2% compared to 52.4% in the second quarter of last year, with a decrease of 2.2 percentage points.
58% Increase in the Number of Tourist Facilities
The data indicated that the number of licensed tourist hospitality facilities in the Kingdom significantly increased to 5,326 facilities by the end of the second quarter of 2025, compared to 3,371 facilities in the same quarter of 2024, representing an increase of 58%.
Hotels accounted for 52.6% of the total number of facilities, with a total of 2,799 hotels, while serviced apartments and other hospitality facilities made up 47.4% with 2,527 facilities.
Decrease in Average Room Prices
The statistics clarified that the average daily room price in hotels during the second quarter of 2025 was approximately 643 Saudi Riyals, marking a decrease of 3.9% from the price in the same period of the previous year, which was 669 Riyals.
In serviced apartments and other hospitality facilities, the average daily price reached 201 Riyals, increasing by 1% compared to 199 Riyals in the second quarter of 2024.
Decrease in Length of Stay
The average length of stay for guests in hotels was about 4.8 nights in the second quarter of 2025, down by 7.7% compared to 5.2 nights in the same period last year.
In serviced apartments, the average length of stay was 2.0 nights, compared to 2.1 nights in the second quarter of 2024, representing a decrease of 4.8%.
The number of workers in tourism activities in the Kingdom reached approximately 997,357 workers during the second quarter of 2025, an increase of 4% compared to the same quarter of 2024, when the number of workers was 959,175.
The number of Saudis working in the sector was 247,600, representing 24.8% of the total workforce, while the number of non-Saudis was 749,757, accounting for 75.2%.
In terms of gender, the number of males working in the sector was 865,626, representing 86.8%, while the number of females was 131,731, accounting for 13.2%.
