أنهى وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية بندر الخريف زيارة رسمية إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، ترأس خلالها وفداً رفيع المستوى من منظومة الصناعة والتعدين، بهدف تعزيز الروابط الاقتصادية بين البلدين، واستكشاف الفرص الاستثمارية المشتركة في قطاعي الصناعة والتعدين.
وعقد خلال الزيارة اجتماعات مع مسؤولين حكوميين أمريكيين، شملت: وزير الطاقة الأمريكي كريس رايت، ووزير التجارة في ولاية كارولينا الشمالية لي ليلي، ركزت هذه الاجتماعات على تعزيز التعاون الصناعي والتعديني بين الجانبين، واستعراض الفرص المتبادلة في قطاع المعادن الحرجة، ودعم نمو التجارة البينية، وتسهيل وصول الصادرات السعودية غير النفطية إلى الأسواق الأمريكية.
كما التقى الوزير الخريف قادة شركات صناعية وتعدينية أمريكية، منها: شركة General Mills لتصنيع الأغذية، وشركة Lilac Solutions، الرائدة في تكنولوجيا استخراج الليثيوم، وشركة RTX للطيران، وشركة International Flavor & Fragrances للكيماويات، وشركة Guardian Industries للخدمات الصناعية، وشركة Abbott للأجهزة الطبية، إضافة إلى شركة Skytower Global Investments للاستثمار والتطوير، وشركة MP Materials التعدينية، إذ ناقشت تلك الاجتماعات فرص الاستثمار المشترك، ونقل أحدث تقنيات التصنيع والتعدين، وتوطين الصناعات المتقدمة في المملكة.
وترأس الخريف اجتماع الطاولة المستديرة لتعزيز الشراكة السعودية الأمريكية في قطاعي الصناعة والتعدين، بمشاركة مسؤولين حكوميين وممثلي القطاع الخاص الأمريكي، وناقش الاجتماع الفرص المتبادلة في القطاعات ذات الأولوية، مثل الطاقة المتجددة، والتعدين، والرعاية الصحية، والتصنيع المتقدم.
وخلال الزيارة، قام الخريف بجولة في مجمع Research Triangle Park للأبحاث في ولاية كارولينا الشمالية، شملت زيارة معهد SAS للذكاء الاصطناعي ومركز CAMAL للتصنيع، إضافة إلى مختبر EnergyX Lab، كما التقى الطلاب والطالبات السعوديين المبتعثين في جامعة ولاية كارولينا الشمالية، وجامعة Duke.
وزار معرض شركة Honeywell الأمريكية، ومنجم Kings Mountain التابع لشركة Albemarle الرائدة في إنتاج الليثيوم، إذ اطلع على أحدث التقنيات لتطوير المدن الذكية، وأفضل الممارسات العالمية في مجال استخراج المعادن.
وتؤكّد الزيارة الرسمية لوزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، التزام المملكة ببناء شراكات دولية فاعلة في قطاعي الصناعة والتعدين، تسهم في تحقيق مستهدفات رؤية 2030، بتحويل المملكة إلى قوة صناعية رائدة، ومركز عالمي للتعدين والمعادن.

The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Al-Khorayef, concluded an official visit to the United States, during which he led a high-level delegation from the industrial and mining sectors, aimed at enhancing economic ties between the two countries and exploring joint investment opportunities in the industrial and mining sectors.
During the visit, he held meetings with U.S. government officials, including U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright and North Carolina Secretary of Commerce Lee Lilly. These meetings focused on enhancing industrial and mining cooperation between the two sides, reviewing mutual opportunities in the critical minerals sector, supporting the growth of inter-trade, and facilitating the access of non-oil Saudi exports to U.S. markets.
Al-Khorayef also met with leaders of American industrial and mining companies, including General Mills for food manufacturing, Lilac Solutions, a leader in lithium extraction technology, RTX for aviation, International Flavor & Fragrances for chemicals, Guardian Industries for industrial services, Abbott for medical devices, as well as Skytower Global Investments for investment and development, and MP Materials in mining. These meetings discussed opportunities for joint investment, transferring the latest manufacturing and mining technologies, and localizing advanced industries in the Kingdom.
Al-Khorayef chaired a roundtable meeting to enhance the Saudi-American partnership in the industrial and mining sectors, with the participation of government officials and representatives from the American private sector. The meeting discussed mutual opportunities in priority sectors such as renewable energy, mining, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing.
During the visit, Al-Khorayef toured the Research Triangle Park research complex in North Carolina, which included a visit to the SAS Institute for Artificial Intelligence and the CAMAL manufacturing center, as well as the EnergyX Lab. He also met with Saudi students studying at North Carolina State University and Duke University.
He visited the Honeywell exhibition and the Kings Mountain mine operated by Albemarle, a leader in lithium production, where he learned about the latest technologies for developing smart cities and best global practices in the field of mineral extraction.
