أطلق وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية بندر بن إبراهيم الخريّف، ووزير الصناعة والتجارة وترويج الاستثمار العُماني قيس بن محمد اليوسف المرحلة الثانية من التكامل الصناعي الثنائي بين المملكة العربية السعودية وسلطنة عُمان، خلال ترؤسهما اجتماعاً مشتركاً بين الجانبين، عُقد بمقر الوزارة في الرياض.
وركّزت المرحلة الثانية من التكامل الصناعي بين البلدين على تعزيز التبادل التجاري المباشر، ودعم التكامل في سلاسل القيمة، وتحفيز الاستثمارات الصناعية النوعية، ومعاملة المنتجات المحلية معاملة المنتجات الوطنية في المشتريات الحكومية، وتسهيل إجراءات المصدرين والمستثمرين.
واستعرض الاجتماع منجزات المرحلة الأولى من التكامل الصناعي بين المملكة وسلطنة عُمان، التي تضمنت عدداً من المبادرات، منها برنامج مصانع المستقبل التي تستهدف تحويل المصانع من الاعتماد على العمالة الكثيفة إلى تبنّي حلول صناعية متقدمة، والتقدم في التكامل في سلاسل الإمداد، كما ناقش الاجتماع التبادل المعرفي بين الجانبين في عدة محاور صناعية، وبناء الإستراتيجيات الوطنية، والمعلومات الصناعية.
ويأتي التكامل الصناعي بين المملكة وسلطنة عُمان في إطار الاتفاقية الاقتصادية بين دول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، التي ركزت على زيادة مساهمة قطاع الصناعة في الاقتصاد، وتنسيق النشاط الصناعي بين دول المجلس على أساس تكاملي، كما تأتي مبادرات التكامل الصناعي بين البلدين تحت مظلة مجلس التنسيق السعودي العماني.
The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, and the Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Investment Promotion of Oman, Qais bin Mohammed Al-Yusuf, launched the second phase of the bilateral industrial integration between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman during their joint meeting held at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh.
The second phase of industrial integration between the two countries focused on enhancing direct trade exchange, supporting integration in value chains, stimulating qualitative industrial investments, treating local products as national products in government procurement, and facilitating procedures for exporters and investors.
The meeting reviewed the achievements of the first phase of industrial integration between the Kingdom and the Sultanate of Oman, which included several initiatives, such as the Future Factories Program aimed at transforming factories from reliance on labor-intensive methods to adopting advanced industrial solutions, and progress in supply chain integration. The meeting also discussed knowledge exchange between the two sides in several industrial areas, building national strategies, and industrial information.
The industrial integration between the Kingdom and the Sultanate of Oman comes within the framework of the economic agreement among the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which focused on increasing the contribution of the industrial sector to the economy and coordinating industrial activity among the member states on a complementary basis. Additionally, the initiatives for industrial integration between the two countries fall under the umbrella of the Saudi-Omani Coordination Council.
