رأس وزير المالية محمد بن عبدالله الجدعان، وفد المملكة المُشارك في الاجتماع الـ123 للجنة التعاون المالي والاقتصادي لدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، الذي عُقد اليوم في الكويت، برئاسة وزيرة المالية وزيرة الدولة للشؤون الاقتصادية والاستثمار في الكويت المهندسة نورة الفصام، وبمشاركة وزراء المالية بدول المجلس، والأمين العام لمجلس التعاون جاسم محمد البديوي.
واستعرض الاجتماع العديد من الموضوعات المتعلقة بتعزيز التعاون المالي والاقتصادي بين دول المجلس، ومنها التوصيات المرفوعة من قِبل لجنة الوكلاء، والمستجدات التي تتم متابعتها من قِبل الأمانة العامة، إلى جانب مناقشة نتائج اجتماعات لجنة محافظي البنوك المركزية وهيئة الاتحاد الجمركي ولجنة رؤساء ومديري الإدارات الضريبية بدول المجلس، ولجنة السوق الخليجية المشتركة.
وعلى هامش الاجتماع، وقع وزير المالية محمد الجدعان مذكرة تفاهم مع وزيرة الدولة للشؤون الاقتصادية والاستثمار في الكويت المهندسة نورة الفصام، للتعاون في المجال المالي لتعزيز وتطوير العلاقات بين الوزارتين وزيادة التعاون بينهما في المجال المالي بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين الشقيقين.
وأوضح الجدعان أن هذه المذكرة تأتي في إطار تعزيز التنسيق المشترك بين البلدين الشقيقين في مختلف القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ومن ضمنها المجال المالي من خلال المنظمات والمؤسسات الدولية، لافتاً إلى أهمية مذكرة التفاهم في تطوير الأنظمة والتشريعات المالية وحوكمتها في القطاع العام.
من جهة أخرى، شارك الجدعان في حفل تدشين الحملة الإعلامية الموحدة للسوق الخليجية المشتركة، التي تهدف إلى تعزيز الوعي المجتمعي بأهداف السوق الخليجية المشتركة ومكتسباتها، وتسليط الضوء على ما توفره من فرص نوعية لمواطني دول المجلس في مختلف المجالات الاقتصادية، بما يسهم في تحقيق النمو الاقتصادي المنشود.
Finance Minister Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan headed the Kingdom's delegation participating in the 123rd meeting of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which was held today in Kuwait, chaired by the Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment in Kuwait, Engineer Noora Al-Fassam, with the participation of the finance ministers of the GCC countries and the Secretary-General of the GCC, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi.
The meeting reviewed several topics related to enhancing financial and economic cooperation among the GCC countries, including recommendations raised by the Committee of Agents, updates being monitored by the General Secretariat, as well as discussions on the outcomes of the meetings of the Committee of Central Bank Governors, the Customs Union Authority, the Committee of Heads and Directors of Tax Administrations of the GCC countries, and the Joint Gulf Market Committee.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan signed a memorandum of understanding with the Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment in Kuwait, Engineer Noora Al-Fassam, for cooperation in the financial field to enhance and develop relations between the two ministries and increase cooperation between them in the financial domain to serve the common interests of the two brotherly countries.
Al-Jadaan explained that this memorandum comes within the framework of enhancing joint coordination between the two brotherly countries on various regional and international issues, including the financial field through international organizations and institutions, noting the importance of the memorandum of understanding in developing financial systems, legislation, and governance in the public sector.
On another note, Al-Jadaan participated in the launch ceremony of the unified media campaign for the Joint Gulf Market, which aims to enhance community awareness of the objectives and benefits of the Joint Gulf Market, highlighting the quality opportunities it provides for the citizens of the GCC countries in various economic fields, contributing to achieving the desired economic growth.
