ارتفعت أسعار الذهب بأكثر من (1%) اليوم (الأربعاء)، متعافية من أدنى مستوى في أكثر من أسبوع، مع تزايد الإقبال على الملاذات الآمنة في ظل تصاعد التوترات الجيوسياسية ومخاوف التضخم.
وصعد الذهب في المعاملات الفورية بنسبة (1.6%) إلى (5168.69) دولار للأوقية (الأونصة)، كما ارتفعت العقود الأمريكية الآجلة تسليم أبريل بنسبة (1.1%) إلى (5178.40) دولار.
وجاءت المكاسب رغم خسائر حادة سجلها المعدن الأصفر في الجلسة السابقة تجاوزت (4%) بفعل قوة الدولار وتراجع توقعات خفض الفائدة، في وقت زادت فيه اضطرابات إمدادات الطاقة من الضغوط التضخمية وأثرت سلبًا على أسواق الأسهم.
كما ارتفعت أسعار الفضة في المعاملات الفورية بنسبة (3.5%) إلى (84.92) دولار للأوقية، مدعومة بزيادة الطلب
وبالنسبة للمعادن النفيسة الأخرىزاد البلاتين (2.7%) إلى (2139.56) دولار، فيما صعد البلاديوم (1.6%) إلى (1673.87) دولار.
Gold prices rose by more than (1%) today (Wednesday), recovering from their lowest level in over a week, as demand for safe havens increased amid escalating geopolitical tensions and inflation fears.
Gold in spot transactions climbed by (1.6%) to (5168.69) dollars per ounce, while U.S. futures contracts for April rose by (1.1%) to (5178.40) dollars.
The gains came despite sharp losses recorded by the yellow metal in the previous session, exceeding (4%) due to the strength of the dollar and declining expectations for interest rate cuts, at a time when disruptions in energy supplies increased inflationary pressures and negatively impacted stock markets.
Silver prices also rose in spot transactions by (3.5%) to (84.92) dollars per ounce, supported by increased demand.
As for other precious metals, platinum increased by (2.7%) to (2139.56) dollars, while palladium rose by (1.6%) to (1673.87) dollars.
