The Minister of Commerce overseeing the Bankruptcy Committee (Isar), Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, confirmed during his speech at the opening of the "Isar 2025" conference, attended by a number of officials and experts from various countries around the world, that hosting this conference in Riyadh reflects the Kingdom's significant interest and deep commitment to supporting the continuity of economic activities, as well as its eagerness to contribute to shaping a qualitative future to overcome financial distress crises, being one of the influential countries in the global economy.
He explained that the conference brings together experts in business continuity and restructuring from different countries, at a time when the Kingdom has achieved advanced indicators in legislative and procedural reforms that enable it to be a regional hub for debt restructuring and financial reorganization solutions for economic entities.

The conference will be held from October 13 to 14, 2025, with the participation of a number of local and international entities, including the World Bank, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), and the International Insolvency Institute. The conference will discuss the developments in related legislation, effective strategies for business restructuring, proactive strategies to avoid distress through early warning systems and risk management mechanisms, and many specialized topics to address the rapidly changing economic variables and potential financial crises.
