تشهد العلاقات بين المملكة وجمهورية أوزبكستان تطوراً متسارعاً، تُوّج بارتفاع حجم التبادل التجاري بين البلدين، بنسبة تجاوزت 50% خلال عام 2023، مدفوعاً بتنامي الشراكات في قطاعات الطاقة، والتعدين، والبتروكيماويات، والزراعة، إضافة إلى توقيع عدد من الاتفاقيات الثنائية، لتشجيع وحماية الاستثمارات.
وانطلقت أعمال منتدى طشقند الدولي للاستثمار، في العاصمة الأوزبكية، بمشاركة أكثر من 2500 مسؤول وممثل، عن الحكومات والمنظمات الدولية، وقادة أعمال من 70 دولة، وسط اهتمام واسع بتعزيز الشراكات الاقتصادية مع دول الخليج، وفي مقدمتها السعودية.
ويهدف المنتدى، في نسخته الرابعة، إلى استعراض الفرص الاستثمارية في أوزبكستان، لا سيما في مجالات الطاقة، والزراعة، والصناعة، والسياحة، والبنية التحتية، كما شهد توقيع عدد من الاتفاقيات الاستثمارية ومذكرات التفاهم، بين جهات حكومية وخاصة.
ويبرز الحضور السعودي الفاعل في أعمال المنتدى، خصوصاً من قبل الشركات والقطاع الخاص، في ظل التواصل المستمر بين الرياض وطشقند، وتلاقي الرؤى التنموية والاقتصادية، وسعي الجانبين إلى فتح آفاق جديدة، للتعاون واستكشاف الفرص في السوق الأوزبكية، التي تشهد إصلاحات واسعة، لجذب الاستثمارات الأجنبية وتعزيز بيئة الأعمال.
The relations between the Kingdom and the Republic of Uzbekistan are witnessing rapid development, culminating in a significant increase in trade volume between the two countries, exceeding 50% during the year 2023. This growth is driven by the expansion of partnerships in the sectors of energy, mining, petrochemicals, and agriculture, in addition to the signing of several bilateral agreements to encourage and protect investments.
The International Investment Forum in Tashkent commenced in the Uzbek capital, with the participation of more than 2,500 officials and representatives from governments and international organizations, as well as business leaders from 70 countries, amidst a strong interest in enhancing economic partnerships with Gulf countries, led by Saudi Arabia.
The forum, in its fourth edition, aims to showcase investment opportunities in Uzbekistan, particularly in the fields of energy, agriculture, industry, tourism, and infrastructure. It also witnessed the signing of several investment agreements and memorandums of understanding between government and private entities.
The active Saudi presence at the forum is particularly notable from companies and the private sector, in light of the ongoing communication between Riyadh and Tashkent, the convergence of developmental and economic visions, and both sides' efforts to open new horizons for cooperation and explore opportunities in the Uzbek market, which is undergoing extensive reforms to attract foreign investments and enhance the business environment.
