تراجعت أسعار النفط في التعاملات الآسيوية المبكرة، في الوقت الذي يفكر فيه المتعاملون في السوق في المحادثات الثلاثية المزمع عقدها بين موسكو وكييف وواشنطن؛ لإنهاء الحرب في أوكرانيا، التي قد تؤدي إلى إنهاء العقوبات المفروضة على الخام الروسي.
وانخفضت العقود الآجلة لخام برنت سبعة سنتات، أو 0.11 %، إلى 66.53 دولار للبرميل، وتراجعت العقود الآجلة لخام غرب تكساس الوسيط الأمريكي تسليم شهر سبتمبر القادم التي ينقضي أجلها غداً الأربعاء، ستة سنتات، أو 0.09 %، إلى 63.36 دولار للبرميل.
وهبطت عقود الخام الأمريكي لشهر أكتوبر، وهي أكثر نشاطاً، 9 سنتات، أو 0.14 %، إلى 62.61 دولار للبرميل.
وسجلت الأسعار ارتفاعاً بنحو 1% عند التسوية في الجلسة السابقة.
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، قد أعلن أنه تحدث مع الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتن، عقب اجتماعه في البيت الأبيض، أمس مع الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي وحلفائه الأوروبيين.
وقال ترمب: «إن الترتيبات جارية لعقد اجتماع بين بوتن وزيلينسكي، وهو ما قد يؤدي إلى قمة ثلاثية تضم الزعماء الثلاثة».
وقال كبير محللي الطاقة في بنك «دي بي إس» سوفرو ساركار: «تتجاوب أسعار النفط إلى حد كبير لنتائج الاجتماعات الأخيرة بين ترمب وبوتين وزيلينسكي». واستبعد فرص التصعيد أو تشديد العقوبات على روسيا من قبل أمريكا وحلفائها في الوقت الراهن.

Oil prices fell in early Asian trading as market participants consider the upcoming trilateral talks between Moscow, Kyiv, and Washington aimed at ending the war in Ukraine, which could lead to the lifting of sanctions imposed on Russian crude.
Brent crude futures dropped seven cents, or 0.11%, to $66.53 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures for September delivery, which expire tomorrow, fell six cents, or 0.09%, to $63.36 a barrel.
October crude contracts, which are more active, decreased by nine cents, or 0.14%, to $62.61 a barrel.
Prices had risen by about 1% at settlement in the previous session.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin following his meeting at the White House yesterday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his European allies.
Trump stated: "Arrangements are underway for a meeting between Putin and Zelensky, which could lead to a trilateral summit involving the three leaders."
DBS Bank's chief energy analyst, Souvro Sarkar, said: "Oil prices are largely responding to the outcomes of the recent meetings between Trump, Putin, and Zelensky." He ruled out the possibility of escalation or tightening sanctions on Russia by the U.S. and its allies at this time.
