ناشد الفنان المصري وعضو مجلس الشيوخ ياسر جلال الرئيس المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي بإعادة الاحتفال بـ«عيد الفن» مرة أخرى، مؤكدًا أن عودته تمثل أمنية مشتركة لدى قطاع كبير من الفنانين والمبدعين في مصر.
حلم الفنانين
وأوضح ياسر جلال خلال برنامج «الستات» أن الاحتفال بعيد الفن كان يمثل مناسبة سنوية مهمة لتكريم رموز الإبداع المصري، لافتًا إلى أنه كان يقام يوم 13 مارس من كل عام تزامنًا مع ذكرى ميلاد موسيقار الأجيال محمد عبد الوهاب.
وأشار إلى أن استعادة هذه المناسبة ستعيد حالة من التقدير المعنوي للفنانين، وستدفعهم لتقديم أعمال أكثر ارتباطًا بقضايا المجتمع والوطن.
تحرك برلماني
وكشف عضو مجلس الشيوخ تقدمه باقتراح رسمي لمناقشة إعادة عيد الفن خلال دور الانعقاد القادم، موضحًا أن إقامة احتفالية سنوية تحت مظلة رئاسة الجمهورية من شأنها دعم مكانة الفن المصري وتعزيز دوره الثقافي.
وأكد ياسر جلال أن الفن المصري لعب دورًا كبيرًا على مدار عقود في ترسيخ صورة مصر عربيًا، معتبرًا الفنانين أحد أبرز عناصر القوة الناعمة للدولة المصرية.
حق الأداء العلني
كما تحدث عن أهمية «حق الأداء العلني»، موضحًا أنه من الحقوق الأساسية للفنانين، إذ يضمن حصولهم على حقوقهم المادية والأدبية عند إعادة عرض أعمالهم عبر الفضائيات والمنصات الرقمية ومواقع التواصل الاجتماعي.
The Egyptian artist and member of the Senate, Yasser Jalal, has urged the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to celebrate "Art Day" once again, emphasizing that its return represents a shared wish among a large sector of artists and creators in Egypt.
The Dream of Artists
Yasser Jalal explained during the program "The Ladies" that the celebration of Art Day used to be an important annual occasion to honor the icons of Egyptian creativity, noting that it was held on March 13 each year, coinciding with the birthday of the musician of generations, Mohamed Abdel Wahab.
He pointed out that restoring this occasion would bring back a sense of moral appreciation for artists and encourage them to produce works more connected to societal and national issues.
Parliamentary Action
The Senate member revealed that he has submitted an official proposal to discuss the reinstatement of Art Day during the upcoming legislative session, clarifying that holding an annual celebration under the auspices of the presidency would support the status of Egyptian art and enhance its cultural role.
Yasser Jalal affirmed that Egyptian art has played a significant role over decades in establishing Egypt's image in the Arab world, considering artists as one of the most prominent elements of the country's soft power.

He also spoke about the importance of the "right to public performance," explaining that it is one of the fundamental rights of artists, as it ensures they receive their material and moral rights when their works are re-broadcast on television, digital platforms, and social media.
