وأوضحت الخميسي، في تصريحات تلفزيونية، أن حياتهما كانت تسير في هدوء وخصوصية بعيدًا عن الأضواء، لكنها فوجئت بانكشاف الأمر فجأة، معتبرة ما حدث اختبارًا قاسيًا يحمل دروسًا كثيرة، قائلة: «كنا عائلة مستورة والستر اتشال في لحظة».
