أكد الفنان المصري عمرو عبدالجليل تفكيره الجدي في الاعتزال إذا استمر حصره في أداور الشر فقط.
وقال خلال لقائه مع الإعلامي إبراهيم فايق، في بودكاست «فايق ورايق»، «لما اشتغلت فيلم (إسكندرية كمان وكمان) الدور مكنش فيه كوميدي وكان مركب، وقعدت فترة أجاهد في حياتي علشان أقنعهم إني ممكن أعمل كوميدي وكانوا بيقولوا ليا أنت مالك ومال الكوميدي؟».
وأضاف: «قضيت سنين في حياتي بعمل أدوار شر بس، ودايماً أنا الشرير في رواية أحدهم أو رواياتهم كلهم، ليه شايفني كده؟ فمش عارف أعمل إيه والموضوع ده مضايقني حالياً، وبفكر أسيب التمثيل كله لو الموضوع بالطريقة دي».
The Egyptian artist Amr Abdel Gelil confirmed his serious consideration of retirement if he continues to be confined to playing villainous roles only.
He said during his meeting with the media personality Ibrahim Fayek, in the podcast "Fayek and Rayek," "When I worked on the film (Alexandria Again and Again), the role wasn't comedic; it was complex. I spent a period struggling in my life to convince them that I could do comedy, and they kept telling me, 'What do you have to do with comedy?'."
He added: "I have spent years in my life playing only villainous roles, and I am always the villain in someone's story or all their stories. Why do they see me that way? I don't know what to do, and this situation is bothering me right now. I'm thinking of leaving acting altogether if it continues like this."
