شهدت مكة المكرمة مساء أمس (الأحد) انطلاق فعاليات معرض «عام الحرف» الذي نظمته ممثلية الجمعية السعودية للفنون التشكيلية (جسفت) بمكة المكرمة، بمشاركة أكثر من 50 فنانًا وفنانة ونحاتًا قدموا 40 عملًا فنيًا و10 منحوتات جسدت جماليات الحرف العربي وروح الهوية البصرية.
أقيم المعرض على شرف الدكتورة هدى بنت عبدالله هوساوي رئيسة قسم الفنون البصرية بكلية التصاميم والفنون بجامعة أم القرى، وبحضور أساتذة الجامعة وفنانين وإعلاميين، إضافة إلى وفد من هيئة التراث بمكة المكرمة، حيث تجاوز عدد الحضور 300 شخص.
وتخلل المعرض تكريم جامعة أم القرى للجمعية والمتدربين، فيما قدمت جسفت مكة درعًا تذكارية للجامعة بهوية مكة تأكيدًا على الشراكة المؤسسية بين الجانبين.
وأكد خالد بايونس ممثل جسفت مكة أن «عام الحرف» منح الفرصة لفناني مكة لإبراز إبداعاتهم وتعزيز حضور الحرف العربي في الفنون المعاصرة، فيما أشار نائبه شاهر الشهري إلى أن الحدث جسّد التقاء التراث الفني بالممارسات الإبداعية الحديثة في مشهد بصري متكامل.
Last night (Sunday), Mecca witnessed the launch of the "Year of Crafts" exhibition organized by the Saudi Association for Visual Arts (Jusfat) in Mecca, with the participation of more than 50 male and female artists and sculptors who presented 40 artworks and 10 sculptures that embodied the aesthetics of Arabic crafts and the spirit of visual identity.
The exhibition was held in honor of Dr. Huda bint Abdullah Hawsawi, head of the Department of Visual Arts at the College of Designs and Arts at Umm Al-Qura University, and was attended by university professors, artists, and media representatives, in addition to a delegation from the Heritage Authority in Mecca, with the total attendance exceeding 300 people.
The exhibition included the honoring of Umm Al-Qura University for the association and the trainees, while Jusfat Mecca presented a commemorative shield to the university with the identity of Mecca, affirming the institutional partnership between the two sides.
Khalid Bayounis, representative of Jusfat Mecca, confirmed that the "Year of Crafts" provided an opportunity for Mecca's artists to showcase their creativity and enhance the presence of Arabic crafts in contemporary arts, while his deputy, Shaher Al-Shahri, noted that the event embodied the meeting of artistic heritage with modern creative practices in a complete visual scene.
