في تطور أمني مثير للجدل، أعلنت وزارة الداخلية المصرية، اليوم (الأربعاء) القبض على الفنان محمد فاروق شيبا، المعروف بلقب «شيبا»، بتهمة نشر أخبار كاذبة ومحتوى مضلل عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي.
أسباب القبض على شيبا
الواقعة التي أثارت ضجة واسعة على السوشيال ميديا جاءت بعد تداول مقطع فيديو يزعم فيه شيبا أنه توجه إلى السجل المدني لتجديد بطاقته الشخصية، ليُفاجَأ بغرامة مالية مفروضة عليه بسبب تسجيله «متوفى» منذ ثلاثة أشهر. الفيديو، الذي حقق ملايين المشاهدات في أقل من 24 ساعة، مما دفع الأجهزة الأمنية إلى التدخل الفوري لكشف الحقيقة.
ووفقاً لبيان رسمي صادر عن وزارة الداخلية، تمكنت الجهات الأمنية من رصد المقطع وفحصه بعناية، وتبين عدم صحة الادعاءات المذكورة فيه تماماً.
المقطع، الذي تم نشره على حساب «شيبا» الشخصي على إنستغرام وفيسبوك، كان مجرد تمثيلية مصطنعة تهدف إلى جذب الانتباه وزيادة التفاعل.
تحقيق نسب مشاهدة عالية
شيبا، المقيم بدائرة قسم شرطة العجوزة بالجيزة، أُلقي القبض عليه بعد ساعات قليلة من التحقيقات الأولية، وبمواجهته، أقر الفنان بأن الفيديو يمثل محاكاة صوتية وتمثيلية لمقطع آخر سبق نشره في وقت سابق، مشيراً إلى أنه لم يقصد الإضرار بالمصلحة العامة، بل كان هدفه الرئيسي تحقيق نسب مشاهدة عالية لتعزيز شعبيته على المنصات الرقمية.
ولم تقف التحقيقات عند «شيبا»، إذ نجحت الأجهزة الأمنية في تحديد واعتقال الشخص الذي قام بتصوير الفيديو الأصلي، وهو مقيم بدائرة قسم شرطة الظاهر بالقاهرة.
المقبوض عليه الثاني اعترف بأنه صوّر المقطع خلال عام 2024 كنوع من المزاح بين الأصدقاء، ونشرَه على حسابه الشخصي دون أي نية سيئة، لكنه أقر بأن الفكرة كانت ترويجية جزئيًا.
عقوبة نشر أخبار كاذبة في القانون المصري
وتشمل التهم الموجهة للممثل المصري نشر أخبار كاذبة بقصد تكدير السلم العام، ووفقاً للمادة 188 من قانون العقوبات، التي قد تصل عقوبتها إلى الحبس مدة تصل إلى سنة وغرامة مالية تراوح بين 5 آلاف و20 ألف جنيه.

In a controversial security development, the Egyptian Ministry of Interior announced today (Wednesday) the arrest of artist Mohamed Farouk Sheba, known by the nickname "Sheba," on charges of spreading false news and misleading content via social media.
Reasons for Sheba's Arrest
The incident, which sparked widespread outrage on social media, came after a video circulated in which Sheba claimed he went to the civil registry to renew his ID card, only to be surprised by a fine imposed on him for being registered as "deceased" for three months. The video, which garnered millions of views in less than 24 hours, prompted security agencies to intervene immediately to uncover the truth.
According to an official statement from the Ministry of Interior, security authorities were able to monitor the clip and examine it carefully, revealing that the claims made in it were completely false.
The clip, which was posted on Sheba's personal accounts on Instagram and Facebook, was merely a staged performance aimed at attracting attention and increasing engagement.
Achieving High Viewership
Sheba, residing in the jurisdiction of the Agouza police station in Giza, was arrested just hours after the initial investigations. When confronted, the artist admitted that the video represented an audio simulation and performance of another clip previously published, indicating that he did not intend to harm the public interest, but his main goal was to achieve high viewership to boost his popularity on digital platforms.
The investigations did not stop with "Sheba," as security agencies successfully identified and arrested the person who filmed the original video, who resides in the jurisdiction of the Zaher police station in Cairo.
The second arrested individual confessed that he filmed the clip in 2024 as a joke among friends and posted it on his personal account without any ill intent, but he acknowledged that the idea was partially promotional.
Punishment for Spreading False News Under Egyptian Law
The charges against the Egyptian actor include spreading false news with the intent to disturb public peace, and according to Article 188 of the Penal Code, the punishment can reach imprisonment for up to one year and a fine ranging between 5,000 and 20,000 Egyptian pounds.
