في أول ردّ له على الشائعات التي اجتاحت مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي خلال الساعات الماضية، نفى الفنان اللبناني وليد توفيق في تصريح خاص إلى «عكاظ» ما تردد عن تدهور حالته الصحية ودخوله المستشفى، مؤكداً أنه بخير تماماً ويعيش حياته بشكل طبيعي.
وقال توفيق: «أتمتع بحالة صحية جيدة، ولم أعانِ أي وعكة صحية كما قيل، الشائعة سخيفة وأزعجتني»، مشيراً إلى أنه تلقى سيلاً من الاتصالات من أصدقائه ومحبيه وزملائه للاطمئنان عليه، ما يعكس محبة الناس وخوفهم عليه.
وكان توفيق قد أحيا أخيرا حفلا غنائيا كبيرا في أحد منتجعات الساحل الشمالي بمصر، قدّم خلاله مجموعة من أشهر أغنياته مثل: «بهية»، «كبرت البنوت»، و«عمار يا مصر»، إضافةً إلى روائع أم كلثوم وعبد الحليم حافظ، ما أكّد حضوره القوي على الساحة الفنية رغم مرور عقود على بداياته.
وفي سياق منفصل، علّق توفيق على الجدل الدائر حول «لقب صوت مصر»، قائلاً: «لا أحب التصنيفات.. مصر غنية بأصوات عظيمة مثل شيرين، أنغام، وآمال ماهر، وكل فنان له بصمته وجمهوره». وأضاف أن آمال ماهر وجورج وسوف قدّما أغاني أم كلثوم بشكل مميز جعلها تصل إلى جيل الشباب، معتبراً ذلك نجاحاً لا يرتبط بلقب، بل بروح الفن.
بهذا التصريح، يضع وليد توفيق حداً للشائعات، ويذكّر جمهوره بأنه حاضر بصوته وفنّه، بعيداً عن منصات الشائعات وأخبار الزيف.
In his first response to the rumors that have swept social media in recent hours, Lebanese artist Walid Toufic denied in a special statement to "Okaz" the reports about the deterioration of his health and his hospitalization, confirming that he is completely fine and living his life normally.
Toufic said: "I enjoy good health, and I have not suffered any health issues as claimed; the rumor is silly and has upset me," noting that he received a flood of calls from his friends, loved ones, and colleagues checking on him, which reflects the love and concern people have for him.
Toufic recently held a large concert at a resort on the North Coast of Egypt, where he performed a selection of his most famous songs such as: "Bahia," "Kbarit El Banout," and "Amar Ya Masr," in addition to the masterpieces of Umm Kulthum and Abdel Halim Hafez, confirming his strong presence in the artistic scene despite the decades since his beginnings.
In a separate context, Toufic commented on the ongoing controversy surrounding the title "Voice of Egypt," saying: "I do not like classifications... Egypt is rich with great voices like Sherine, Angham, and Amal Maher, and each artist has their own fingerprint and audience." He added that Amal Maher and George Wassouf have presented Umm Kulthum's songs in a distinctive way that has reached the youth generation, considering this a success that is not tied to a title, but to the spirit of art.
With this statement, Walid Toufic puts an end to the rumors and reminds his audience that he is present with his voice and art, away from the platforms of rumors and false news.
