جدّد مواطنون بمنطقة عسير، مطالبهم بازدواجية طريق كوبري النعمان في خميس مشيط، باعتباره الطريق الحيوي الرابط بين طريق الملك خالد الرئيسي ومخططات الرصراص وقاعدة الملك خالد الجوية، إذ يشهد يومياً ازدحاماً مرورياً، فيما تعتبر ازدواجيته ضرورية.
وقال محمد عبدان وسعيد مهدي وناصر الشهراني، لـ«عكاظ»، إن مطالبهم لها سنوات، مع استمرار الزحام المروري الذي يشهده الطريق يومياً، فالمعاناة مستمرة في طريق الكوبري الضيق الذي يشهد زحاماً في حركة السير مع وقوع حوادث مرورية، وتصاعدت عدة مطالبات لازدواجيته ولم ترَ النور حتى اللحظة.
وأضافوا: طريق الكوبري الضيّق بات حديث المجالس نتيجة خطورته وما يشهده من عبور مئات المركبات يومياً، إذ يتوسط امتداد طريق مزدوج وآخر متسع، وكل الأمل في الجهة المختصة سرعة ازدواجيته، حفاظاً على الأرواح والممتلكات، وتسهيلاً لحركة المرور.
Citizens in the Asir region have renewed their demands for the dualization of the Al-Nu'man Bridge road in Khamis Mushait, considering it a vital road linking the main King Khalid Road with the Al-Rasras plans and King Khalid Air Base. It experiences daily traffic congestion, making its dualization essential.
Mohammed Abdan, Saeed Mahdi, and Nasser Al-Shahrani told "Okaz" that their demands have been ongoing for years, with the continuous traffic congestion that the road faces daily. The suffering persists on the narrow bridge road, which witnesses heavy traffic and accidents, and several demands for its dualization have been raised but have not seen the light of day so far.
They added: The narrow bridge road has become a topic of discussion due to its danger and the passage of hundreds of vehicles daily, as it is situated between a dual road and another wide road. All hope lies with the relevant authorities to expedite its dualization, to preserve lives and property, and to facilitate traffic flow.
