لقي أربعة أشخاص على الأقل مصرعهم، جراء أمطار غزيرة تسببت في فيضانات وانهيارات أرضية في كل من هايتي وجمهورية الدومينيكان.
وذكرت السلطات في هايتي والدومينيكان اليوم، أنه تم عزل عشرات التجمعات السكنية في البلدين بسبب تلك الفيضانات والانهيارات الأرضية.
وأفادت وكالة الحماية المدنية في هايتي، بمقتل 4 أشخاص على الأقل، وفقدان اثنين آخرين في المنطقة الجنوبية الغربية من البلاد، حيث تضررت أكثر من 3200 أسرة ودمرت مئات المنازل جراء الفيضانات.
وأشارت الوكالة إلى أن انهيارات أرضية أدت إلى تضرر العديد من الطرق في جنوب غرب هايتي.
