فتحت وزارة التربية الكويتية تحقيقًا عاجلًا في واقعة تعرض عدد من طالبات المرحلة الثانوية لحالات اختناق داخل إحدى المدارس، في حادثة أثارت تساؤلات حول ملابسات ما جرى وأسباب تعرض الطالبات لهذه الأعراض، فيما أكدت الوزارة أن جميع الحالات مستقرة وتخضع للمتابعة الصحية.
وأعلنت الوزارة، إحالة الواقعة إلى الجهات المعنية للتحقيق في تفاصيلها، وتحديد المسؤوليات، واتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة في ضوء ما ستسفر عنه نتائج التحقيق.
وأكدت «التربية» أنها تتابع الحالة الصحية للطالبات بشكل مستمر، بالتنسيق مع الجهات المختصة، مشيرة إلى أن وزير التربية سيد جلال سيد عبدالمحسن الطبطبائي تابع الواقعة بصورة مباشرة، ووجّه مسؤولي الوزارة بالاطمئنان على الطالبات ومتابعة أوضاعهن الصحية، والتنسيق مع الجهات المعنية للتعامل مع الحادثة.
وشدد الوزير على ضرورة التحقيق الفوري في الواقعة، للوقوف على أسبابها وملابساتها وكافة التفاصيل المرتبطة بها، وصولًا إلى تحديد المسؤوليات واتخاذ الإجراءات المناسبة وفقًا لما تكشفه نتائج التحقيق.
وأكدت الوزارة أنها لن تتهاون مع أي سلوك أو تصرف من شأنه المساس بأمن وسلامة البيئة التعليمية أو تعريض الطلبة والعاملين في المدارس للخطر، مشددة على أهمية توفير بيئة مدرسية آمنة.
ولم يكشف البيان الرسمي اسم المدرسة أو العدد الدقيق للطالبات اللاتي تعرضن للحالات الصحية، فيما تداولت منصات إعلامية وحسابات على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي معلومات غير مؤكدة رسميًا تشير إلى أن الواقعة حدثت في ثانوية أم الهيمان، وأن عدد الطالبات المتضررات بلغ العشرات، مع تداول مزاعم عن ارتباط الحادثة برش مبيدات حشرية.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Education has opened an urgent investigation into the incident involving several high school female students experiencing cases of suffocation inside one of the schools, an incident that raised questions about the circumstances of what occurred and the reasons behind the students exhibiting these symptoms. The ministry confirmed that all cases are stable and under health monitoring.
The ministry announced the referral of the incident to the relevant authorities to investigate its details, determine responsibilities, and take necessary actions based on the results of the investigation.
The Ministry of Education emphasized that it is continuously monitoring the health status of the students in coordination with the relevant authorities, noting that the Minister of Education, Mr. Jalal Said Abdul Mohsen Al-Tabtabai, is directly following up on the incident and has instructed ministry officials to check on the students and monitor their health conditions, as well as coordinate with the relevant authorities to address the incident.
The minister stressed the need for an immediate investigation into the incident to understand its causes, circumstances, and all related details, ultimately leading to the determination of responsibilities and the taking of appropriate measures based on what the investigation reveals.
The ministry affirmed that it will not tolerate any behavior or action that could compromise the safety and security of the educational environment or put students and staff in schools at risk, emphasizing the importance of providing a safe school environment.
The official statement did not disclose the name of the school or the exact number of students who experienced health issues, while media platforms and social media accounts circulated unverified information suggesting that the incident occurred at Um Al-Haiman Secondary School, with reports indicating that the number of affected students reached dozens, along with claims linking the incident to pesticide spraying.
