The soft whispers and relaxed tone did not withstand the guillotine of professional standards. By a decision from the Supreme Council for Media Regulation in Egypt, an official order was issued to suspend the broadcast of the program "From the Heart" and to prevent its host, Sherine Al-Atrash, from appearing on the screen of "Al-Shams" channel and all media outlets until the investigations into the violation of strict media codes are completed.
The crisis erupted after clips from the program spread like wildfire on social media platforms, where followers launched the hashtag "The Autumn Voice," criticizing what they described as a feigned calmness and an exaggerated use of a soft tone that does not align with the seriousness of television presentation. In the face of a wave of sharp criticism and accusations of triviality, the channel quickly deleted the clips attributed to the program from all its official platforms.
Sherine Al-Atrash attempted to contain the fire by posting a video clip on her personal accounts, asserting that this is her true tone of voice and that she does not feign whispering, while calling for an end to the "bullying" campaigns against her. However, her attempts did not prevent the Supreme Media Council from intervening, putting an end to the "trend" and establishing a decisive media principle: "Popularity on social media does not grant immunity to those who violate the principles of the profession."
