باشرت السلطات العراقية تحقيقاتها في واقعة تعرض امرأة سورية لإصابات خطيرة، بعد أن أضرمت النار في جسدها بمنطقة أبو دشير، التابعة لحي الدورة جنوبي بغداد، وسط إفادات تتهم شخصين بابتزازها باستخدام صور شخصية.
ووفق المعلومات الأولية، استخدمت المرأة مادة البنزين لإشعال النار في جسدها، قبل نقلها إلى أحد المستشفيات لتلقي العلاج. وأسفر الحادث عن إصابتها بحروق بالغة في الوجه، فيما لم تتضح على الفور حالتها الصحية بعد وصولها إلى المستشفى.
وأفادت المرأة في أقوالها الأولية بأنها تعرضت للتصوير من قبل أشخاص تعرفهم، قبل أن يستخدموا الصور في ابتزازها والضغط عليها لإقامة علاقة جنسية معهم.
وبعد إبلاغ الأجهزة الأمنية بالواقعة، شُكّل فريق للتحقيق في ملابساتها والتأكد من هوية الأشخاص الذين وردت أسماؤهم في إفادتها. وأسفرت الإجراءات عن توقيف شخصين يُشتبه في تورطهما بواقعة الابتزاز، وإحالتهما إلى التوقيف لاستكمال التحقيقات والإجراءات القانونية.
وتواصل الجهات المختصة جمع المعلومات والتحقق من تفاصيل الواقعة، تمهيدًا لإحالة المتهمين إلى القضاء بعد استكمال التحقيقات.
The Iraqi authorities have begun their investigations into the incident involving a Syrian woman who sustained serious injuries after setting herself on fire in the Abu Dashir area, part of the Dora neighborhood south of Baghdad, amid reports accusing two individuals of blackmailing her using personal photos.
According to initial information, the woman used gasoline to ignite her body before being transported to a hospital for treatment. The incident resulted in severe burns to her face, while her health condition immediately after arriving at the hospital remains unclear.
The woman stated in her initial testimony that she was photographed by individuals she knows, who then used the images to blackmail her and pressure her into having a sexual relationship with them.
After notifying the security forces about the incident, a team was formed to investigate the circumstances and verify the identities of the individuals mentioned in her testimony. The actions led to the arrest of two suspects believed to be involved in the blackmail incident, and they have been referred to detention for further investigation and legal proceedings.
The relevant authorities continue to gather information and verify the details of the incident in preparation for referring the accused to the judiciary after completing the investigations.
