توفي رجل هندي يبلغ من العمر 58 عامًا إثر تعرضه لوعكة صحية مفاجئة خلال رحلة جوية تابعة للخطوط الجوية الماليزية، كانت في طريقها من العاصمة الماليزية كوالالمبور إلى مدينة سيدني الأسترالية.
وقالت شرطة نيو ساوث ويلز، في بيان نقلته مجلة «بيبول»، إن الرجل يُعتقد أنه فارق الحياة نتيجة تعرضه لعارض صحي أثناء الرحلة الأربعاء 16 سبتمبر.
وأوضحت الشرطة أن عناصر من قيادة منطقة جنوب سيدني الأمنية توجهوا إلى الصالة الدولية بمطار سيدني، عقب تلقي بلاغ بشأن حالة طبية طارئة لأحد الركاب القادمين من كوالالمبور.
وحاول أفراد طاقم الطائرة وعدد من الركاب تقديم الإسعافات الأولية للمسافر، إلا أن محاولات إنقاذه لم تكلل بالنجاح، ليفارق الحياة لاحقًا.
ولم تكشف السلطات هوية المتوفى، كما أكدت الشرطة عدم وجود مؤشرات في الوقت الحالي على أن الوفاة ناجمة عن فعل جنائي.
وأضافت أن الملابسات المتوافرة حتى الآن لا تستدعي اتخاذ مزيد من الإجراءات الشرطية، في انتظار استكمال الإجراءات المتعلقة بالوفاة.
An Indian man, aged 58, passed away following a sudden health crisis during a Malaysian Airlines flight from the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur to Sydney, Australia.
New South Wales police stated in a statement reported by People magazine that the man is believed to have died due to a health issue during the flight on Wednesday, September 16.
The police explained that officers from the South Sydney security command responded to the international terminal at Sydney Airport after receiving a report about a medical emergency involving a passenger arriving from Kuala Lumpur.
Flight crew members and several passengers attempted to provide first aid to the traveler, but their rescue efforts were unsuccessful, and he later passed away.
The authorities did not disclose the identity of the deceased, and the police confirmed that there are currently no indications that the death resulted from criminal activity.
They added that the circumstances available so far do not warrant further police action, pending the completion of procedures related to the death.
