ارتفع عدد ضحايا حادثة انقلاب عبارة ركاب في بحيرة كاريبا بزيمبابوي إلى 44 شخصاً على الأقل، بعد انقلابها أمس.
وأوضحت الشرطة الزيمبابوية أن العبارة كانت تقل أكثر من طاقتها الاستيعابية، مبينة أنها صُممت لنقل 90 راكباً، فيما كان على متنها أكثر من 120 شخصاً، مضيفة أن فرق الإنقاذ تمكنت حتى الآن من إنقاذ 67 شخصاً.
The number of victims of the capsizing of a passenger ferry in Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe, has risen to at least 44 people after it capsized yesterday.
The Zimbabwean police stated that the ferry was carrying more than its capacity, indicating that it was designed to transport 90 passengers, while it had over 120 people on board. They added that rescue teams have so far managed to save 67 people.
