في أيام الصيف اللاهبة، تحول أشعة الشمس الحارقة زجاج سيارتك إلى «مدفأة زجاجية»، لترتفع الحرارة داخل المقصورة إلى مستويات قياسية تجعل من المستحيل الجلوس على المقاعد. وفي محاولة لتدارك الأمر، يلجأ الجميع للحل الخاطئ: التشغيل الفوري للتكييف بأقصى طاقته!
هذا التصرف السريع لا يكتفي بفشله في تبريد الهواء المحتبس سريعاً، بل يُعرض ضاغط المكيف (Compressor) لضغط ميكانيكي هائل، ويفرغ خزان الوقود في ثوانٍ. فما هي الحيلة التي يوصي بها مهندسو الصيانة لتبريد السيارة بذكاء وبأقل جهد؟
الحيلة التي يُطلق عليها الخبراء اسم «مكبس التهوية» تعتمد على تفريغ الحرارة في 30 ثانية فقط دون استهلاك نقطة بنزين واحدة:
- تقنية الباب والمكبس: افتح النافذة الجانبية للراكب الأمامي بالكامل، ثم قم بفتح وإغلاق باب السائق المقابل لها 5 مرات متتالية. حركة الباب ستعمل كمروحة عملاقة تدفع الهواء الساخن المحبوس في السقف للإسراع خارجاً.
- التهوية أثناء الحركة: عند الانطلاق، اترك النوافذ مفتوحة قليلاً لـ120 ثانية، إذ يساعد التيّار الهوائي الخارجي الناتج عن حركة السيارة على سحب الحرارة المخزنة داخل لوحة القيادة والمقاعد.
وبمجرد تفريغ الحرارة العالية، يأتي دور التشغيل التدريجي للتكييف لضمان أطول عمر افتراضي للمحرك:
- البداية بوضع «Fresh Air»: شَغّل التكييف في الدقائق الأولى مع تفعيل زر إدخال الهواء الخارجي؛ ليقوم النظام بسحب هواء الشارع الأقل حرارة وتبريده بسهولة.
- الانتقال لـ«Recirculation»: بعد هبوط الحرارة داخل السيارة، اضغط على زر «إعادة تدوير الهواء الداخلي» ليقوم المكيف بتبريد الهواء البارد أصلاً داخل المقصورة، وهو ما يضمن درجة برودة ثلجية بأقل جهد ممكن على المحرك.

This quick action not only fails to cool the trapped air rapidly, but it also subjects the air conditioner's compressor to immense mechanical pressure and drains the fuel tank in seconds. So what is the trick recommended by maintenance engineers to cool the car smartly and with minimal effort?
The trick, referred to by experts as the "ventilation press," relies on expelling heat in just 30 seconds without consuming a single drop of fuel:
- Door and press technique: Fully open the front passenger side window, then open and close the opposite driver's door 5 times in quick succession. The movement of the door will act as a giant fan, pushing the hot air trapped in the roof out quickly.
- Ventilation while in motion: When you start driving, leave the windows slightly open for 120 seconds, as the external airflow generated by the movement of the car helps pull the heat stored inside the dashboard and seats.
Once the high heat is expelled, it's time for the gradual operation of the air conditioning to ensure the longest lifespan for the engine:
- Start with "Fresh Air" mode: Turn on the air conditioning in the first few minutes while activating the external air intake button; this allows the system to draw in the cooler street air and cool it easily.
- Switch to "Recirculation": After the temperature inside the car drops, press the "recirculate internal air" button so that the air conditioner cools the already cold air inside the cabin, ensuring a frosty coolness with minimal strain on the engine.
