عثرت السلطات المكسيكية على عشر جثث في ثلاث بلديات بولاية زاكاتيكاس وسط البلاد، في واقعة أثارت حالة من الاستنفار الأمني وفتحت باب التساؤلات حول ملابسات الجريمة ودوافعها.
وأعلن مسؤولون محليون العثور على جثث الضحايا في بلديات موريلوس وبانوكو وساين ألتو، حيث باشرت السلطات تحقيقات موسعة لكشف تفاصيل الحادثة وتحديد هوية المتورطين.
وقال الأمين العام لحكومة ولاية زاكاتيكاس، رودريغو رييس موغيرزا، إن النيابة العامة أبلغته بالعثور على القتلى، مؤكدًا إطلاق عمليات أمنية واسعة في المناطق التي شهدت العثور على الجثث، إلى جانب التحضير لعقد اجتماع طارئ لفريق العمليات والاستطلاع لمتابعة التطورات.
وأشار المسؤول إلى أن الولاية شهدت خلال السنوات الأخيرة انخفاضًا ملحوظًا في معدلات هذا النوع من الجرائم نتيجة التنسيق بين الأجهزة الأمنية، إلا أنه شدد على أن الحادثة الأخيرة «تتطلب استجابة فورية وحاسمة من جانب الدولة».
وأظهرت صور تداولتها وسائل إعلام محلية مشاهد صادمة من موقع الحادثة، تضمنت وجود عدة جثث عالقة على أحد الجسور، في انتظار استكمال التحقيقات الرسمية.
وذكرت تقارير إعلامية أن من بين الضحايا المحتملين رجل الأعمال والرئيس السابق لبلدية سومبريريتي، إيغناسيو كاستريخون فالديز، غير أن السلطات لم تؤكد هذه المعلومات بشكل رسمي حتى الآن.
وتأتي هذه الواقعة في ظل استمرار التحديات الأمنية التي تواجهها المكسيك منذ سنوات، بسبب موجات العنف المرتبطة بأنشطة الجماعات الإجرامية، بما في ذلك عصابات المخدرات التي تنشط في عدد من مناطق البلاد.
The Mexican authorities found ten bodies in three municipalities in the state of Zacatecas in central Mexico, in an incident that has raised a state of security alert and opened the door to questions about the circumstances and motives of the crime.
Local officials announced the discovery of the victims' bodies in the municipalities of Morelos, Panuku, and Say Alt, where authorities have initiated extensive investigations to uncover the details of the incident and identify those involved.
The Secretary of the Government of Zacatecas, Rodrigo Reyes Muguerza, stated that the Public Prosecutor's Office informed him of the discovery of the deceased, confirming the launch of extensive security operations in the areas where the bodies were found, as well as preparations for an emergency meeting of the operations and reconnaissance team to follow up on developments.
The official noted that the state has witnessed a significant decrease in the rates of this type of crime in recent years due to coordination among security agencies; however, he emphasized that the recent incident "requires an immediate and decisive response from the state."
Images circulated by local media showed shocking scenes from the site of the incident, including several bodies hanging from one of the bridges, awaiting the completion of official investigations.
Media reports mentioned that among the potential victims is businessman and former mayor of Sombrerete, Ignacio Castrejon Valdez, but authorities have not officially confirmed this information yet.
This incident comes amid ongoing security challenges faced by Mexico for years, due to waves of violence linked to the activities of criminal groups, including drug cartels operating in several regions of the country.
