في الوقت الذي يثق فيه الآباء بأن منتجات الأطفال صُممت لتوفير الحماية والراحة، كشف عيب غير متوقع في أحد المنتجات عن خطر قد يتحول في لحظة إلى مأساة، ما استدعى سحب مئات الآلاف من القطع من الأسواق وتحذيراً عاجلاً للمستهلكين.
وأُعلن عن سحب نحو 211 ألف زوج من صنادل الأطفال من الأسواق، بعدما كشفت الجهات التنظيمية عن خلل في تصميمها يسمح بانفصال اللآلئ البلاستيكية المثبتة عليها بسهولة، ما يجعلها عرضة للابتلاع ويشكل خطراً كبيراً يتمثل في الاختناق، وقد يصل الأمر في بعض الحالات إلى إصابات خطيرة أو الوفاة.
وبحسب المعلومات المتاحة، تلقت الجهة المصنعة 23 بلاغاً يفيد بانفصال الزينة البلاستيكية عن الصنادل، إلا أنه لم تُسجل حتى الآن أي إصابات بين الأطفال نتيجة هذا العيب.
وفي إطار الإجراءات الاحترازية، دُعي جميع المستهلكين إلى التوقف فوراً عن استخدام المنتج، وإعادته إلى منافذ البيع لاسترداد قيمته كاملة، دون اشتراط تقديم أي مستندات أو تحمل أي تكاليف.

About 211,000 pairs of children's sandals were announced to be recalled from the market after regulatory authorities revealed a design flaw that allows the plastic pearls attached to them to easily detach, making them a choking hazard and posing a significant risk that could lead to serious injuries or even death in some cases.
According to available information, the manufacturer received 23 reports of the plastic embellishments detaching from the sandals; however, no injuries among children resulting from this defect have been recorded so far.
As a precautionary measure, all consumers were urged to immediately stop using the product and return it to the point of sale for a full refund, without the need to provide any documentation or incur any costs.
