أعلنت النجمة الكولومبية شاكيرا التبرع بمبلغ 500 ألف دولار لدعم تعليم الأطفال المتضررين من الزلزالين اللذين ضربا فنزويلا في 24 يونيو الماضي. أكّدت أن المبادرة تهدف إلى مساعدة الأطفال على استكمال تعليمهم رغم الظروف الصعبة التي خلفتها الكارثة.
وكشفت شاكيرا في مقطع فيديو نشرته عبر حسابها على «إنستجرام» عن إطلاق مبادرة لدعم المدارس والطلاب المتضررين، مشيرة إلى أن التعليم يمثل أحد أهم السبل لمنح الأطفال الأمل وبناء مستقبلهم بعد الكوارث الطبيعية.

ووجهت نداءً عاجلاً إلى ثلاثة من قادة العالم للمشاركة في هذه المبادرة وحشد مزيد من الدعم الدولي لتوفير الحاجات التعليمية للأطفال الذين فقدوا مدارسهم أو تأثرت حياتهم جراء الزلزالين.
وأكّدت أن الأطفال هم الأكثر تأثراً بالكوارث، داعية الحكومات والمؤسسات الدولية والقطاع الخاص إلى المساهمة في إعادة تأهيل المدارس وتوفير بيئة تعليمية آمنة، بما يضمن عدم انقطاع آلاف التلاميذ عن الدراسة.
وحظيت المبادرة بتفاعل واسع على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، حيث أشاد متابعون بخطوة شاكيرا الإنسانية، معتبرين أنها تعكس اهتمامها بالقضايا التعليمية والإغاثية إلى جانب نشاطها الفني.
وتُعرف شاكيرا بنشاطها في دعم التعليم، إذ أسست مؤسسة Pies Descalzos التي تعمل على بناء المدارس وتوفير فرص التعليم للأطفال من الأسر محدودة الدخل في كولومبيا وعدد من دول أمريكا اللاتينية.
كما شغلت سابقًا منصب سفيرة للنوايا الحسنة لدى منظمة الأمم المتحدة للطفولة (اليونيسف)، وشاركت في العديد من المبادرات الإنسانية المتعلقة بحقوق الأطفال والتعليم.
وجاءت مبادرتها الأخيرة عقب الزلزالين اللذين ضربا فنزويلا في 24 يونيو، وأسفرا عن أضرار واسعة في البنية التحتية، بما في ذلك عدد من المدارس والمرافق العامة، الأمر الذي دفع منظمات إنسانية إلى الدعوة لتكثيف الدعم الدولي لإعادة الخدمات الأساسية، وفي مقدمتها التعليم، للأطفال المتضررين من الكارثة.

She emphasized that children are the most affected by disasters, calling on governments, international institutions, and the private sector to contribute to rehabilitating schools and providing a safe educational environment, ensuring that thousands of students do not drop out of school.
The initiative received widespread engagement on social media, where followers praised Shakira's humanitarian step, considering it reflects her concern for educational and relief issues alongside her artistic activities.
Shakira is known for her active support of education, having founded the Pies Descalzos Foundation, which works to build schools and provide educational opportunities for children from low-income families in Colombia and several Latin American countries.
