دعت السفارة السعودية في تركيا جميع مواطنيها الموجودين والسياح في الأراضي التركية، إلى أخذ أقصى درجات الحيطة والحذر؛ نظراً لتقارير الأرصاد الجوية التي تشير إلى تقلبات جوية عنيفة وعواصف مطرية تضرب ولايات عدة.
وجاء تحذير السفارة بالتزامن مع بيانات صادرة عن المديرية العامة لإدارة الطوارئ التركية (آفاد)، توقعت فيها هطول أمطار غزيرة محلياً، ونشرت (أفاد) خارطة لتوقعات الأمطار شملت فترات الصباح، إذ تركز الأمطار في المناطق الشرقية لولاية سامسون، ومحيط ولايتي أوردو وغيرسون. وفي فترة بعد الظهر، تشتد الفعالية الجوية في محيط ولايات ريزه، وأرتفين، وأرضروم، وقارص، وأردهان.
وأهابت السفارة بالمواطنين السعوديين ضرورة اتباع تعليمات السلطات التركية المختصة، والابتعاد تماماً عن مجاري الأودية والسيول؛ نظراً للمخاطر المصاحبة للحالة الجوية من فيضانات مفاجئة، وصواعق رعدية، وتساقط للبَرَد، ورياح قوية قد تتسبب في تعطّل حركة النقل والمواصلات. كما حثّت السفارة مواطنيها على متابعة نشرات الطقس الرسمية بشكل مستمر، والتواصل معها فوراً في حالات الطوارئ عبر أرقام الهواتف المخصصة لشؤون السعوديين.
The Saudi Embassy in Turkey has urged all its citizens and tourists in Turkish territory to take the utmost precautions; due to weather reports indicating severe weather fluctuations and rainstorms hitting several provinces.
The embassy's warning coincided with statements issued by the Turkish General Directorate of Emergency Management (AFAD), which predicted locally heavy rainfall and published a rainfall forecast map that included morning periods, with rain concentrated in the eastern regions of Samsun province and the surrounding areas of Ordu and Giresun. In the afternoon, the weather activity intensifies around the provinces of Rize, Artvin, Erzurum, Kars, and Ardahan.
The embassy called on Saudi citizens to strictly follow the instructions of the relevant Turkish authorities and to completely avoid riverbeds and flood-prone areas; due to the risks associated with the weather conditions, including sudden floods, thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds that could disrupt transportation and communication. The embassy also urged its citizens to continuously monitor official weather bulletins and to contact them immediately in emergencies via the designated phone numbers for Saudi affairs.
