سجل فرع البيئة والمياه والزراعة بمنطقة مكة المكرمة 20 مخالفة في 6 شهور، شملت استخدام مصادر المياه دون تراخيص نظامية وآبارٍ محفورة سابقًا دون ترخيص.
ودعا الفرع المزارعين وأصحاب الآبار إلى سرعة تصحيح أوضاعهم قبل انتهاء المهلة المخصصة للحصول على رخص «الاستخدام».
وأفاد مدير عام الفرع المهندس وليد آل دغيس، أن المخالفات توزعت بين العاصمة المقدسة والجموم وجدة، مؤكدًا أن الرقابة تهدف إلى تنظيم استخدام المياه الجوفية وحماية الموارد المائية واستدامتها، مشيرًا إلى أن أبرز المخالفات تشمل تشغيل الآبار دون ترخيص، أو بعد انتهاء الرخصة، أو تغيير نشاط الاستخدام، أو تجاوز كميات الضخ المصرح بها، وأن العقوبات تبدأ بالإنذار وقد تصل إلى غرامة 150 ألف ريال.
The Environment, Water, and Agriculture Branch in the Makkah Region recorded 20 violations in 6 months, which included the use of water sources without legal licenses and previously drilled wells without permits.
The branch urged farmers and well owners to quickly rectify their situations before the deadline for obtaining "usage" licenses expires.
The General Director of the branch, Engineer Walid Al-Daghis, stated that the violations were distributed between the holy capital, Jeddah, and Al-Jumum, emphasizing that the oversight aims to regulate the use of groundwater and protect water resources for sustainability. He pointed out that the most notable violations include operating wells without a license, after the license has expired, changing the usage activity, or exceeding the permitted pumping quantities, and that penalties start with a warning and can reach a fine of 150,000 riyals.
