علمت «عكاظ» من مصادرها الخاصة أن اللجنة الفنية بالنادي الأهلي، التي تضم المدير الرياضي البرتغالي روي بيدرو والمدرب الألماني ماتياس يايسله، كانت تضع استمرار الإيفواري فرانك كيسيه ضمن أولوياتها الفنية، من خلال تجديد عقده لموسمين إضافيين، حفاظاً على استقرار وسط الفريق.
وبيّنت المصادر أن رغبة اللاعب في الحصول على عقد يمتد لثلاثة مواسم حالت دون إتمام الاتفاق، في ظل تمسك اللجنة الفنية بصيغة عقد أقصر تتوافق مع خطط النادي الفنية والمرحلة القادمة.
