أكدت مصادر خاصة لـ«عكاظ» أن مدرب منتخب صربيا فيليكو باونوفيتش وافق على قيادة الاتحاد في الموسم القادم، خلفاً للبرتغالي سيرجيو كونسيساو.

باونوفيتش ينتظر توقيع العقد
وقالت المصادر: «باونوفيتش منح موافقته الرسمية لتدريب الاتحاد بعقد لمدة عامين، لكن رد النادي بشأن توقيع العقود تأخر لعدة أيام، لذا ينتظر المدرب التأكيد النهائي من الاتحاد في ظل تفاوض النادي مع أكثر من مدرب في الوقت الحالي، حتى يتمكن من فسخ عقده مع الاتحاد الصربي لكرة القدم».
الجهاز المعاون المحتمل
وفي حال تعاقد الاتحاد رسمياً مع فيليكو باونوفيتش، سيضم الجهاز المعاون كلاً من: كلاوديو أرزينو (مدرب مساعد)، نونو غوميز (مدرب مساعد ثانٍ يتولى مسؤولية تنظيم التدريبات، كما يُعد المختص بتنفيذ وتطوير الكرات الثابتة)، كوينتون فورتشن (مسؤول عن التطوير الفردي للاعبين)، جيسوس سلفادور (مدرب حراس مرمى سبق له العمل مع الجهاز الفني السابق للاتحاد بقيادة الفرنسي لوران بلان، وتُوج مع الفريق بلقبي دوري روشن السعودي وكأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين)، ألبرتو (مدرب لياقة بدنية)، فران بيريز (محلل أداء).

إنجاز تاريخي مع بلاده.. وسبب في إقالة رينارد
وسبق للمدرب الصربي أن قاد منتخب بلاده تحت 20 عاماً للتتويج بلقب كأس العالم، كما كان أحد أسباب إقالة الفرنسي هيرفي رينارد من تدريب المنتخب السعودي، إذ جاءت الإقالة بعد خسارة الأخضر أمام صربيا بنتيجة 2-1 في مباراة ودية أُقيمت في مارس الماضي.
Sources have confirmed to "Okaz" that Serbia's national team coach Veljko Paunović has agreed to lead Al-Ittihad next season, succeeding Portuguese Sergio Conceição.

Paunović Awaits Contract Signing
The sources stated: "Paunović has given his official approval to coach Al-Ittihad with a two-year contract, but the club's response regarding the signing of the contracts has been delayed for several days. Therefore, the coach is awaiting final confirmation from Al-Ittihad while the club is negotiating with several other coaches at the moment, so he can terminate his contract with the Serbian Football Association."
Potential Coaching Staff
If Al-Ittihad officially signs Veljko Paunović, the coaching staff will include: Claudio Arzeno (assistant coach), Nuno Gomes (second assistant coach responsible for organizing training sessions and specializing in implementing and developing set pieces), Quinton Fortune (responsible for individual player development), Jesus Salvador (goalkeeper coach who previously worked with the former coaching staff of Al-Ittihad led by Frenchman Laurent Blanc, and won with the team the Saudi Pro League and King Cup titles), Alberto (fitness coach), and Fran Perez (performance analyst).

Historic Achievement with His Country.. and Reason for Renard's Dismissal
The Serbian coach previously led his country's U-20 team to win the World Cup title, and he was also one of the reasons for the dismissal of Frenchman Hervé Renard from coaching the Saudi national team, as the dismissal came after the Green Falcons lost to Serbia 2-1 in a friendly match held last March.
