شهد حي الهرم بمحافظة الجيزة في مصر حالة من الفزع والهلع بعد سماع دوي انفجار هز أحد العقارات السكنية، ما دفع السكان إلى الخروج إلى الشوارع وسط صراخ وفوضى مؤقتة.
وبحسب ما أفادت غرفة عمليات الحماية المدنية، وقع الانفجار داخل شقة بالطابق السادس في عقار مكوّن من 7 طوابق بمنطقة الوفاء والأمل، وأسفر عن اندلاع حريق هائل وتهشم جزء من واجهة المبنى، قبل أن تتدخل فرق الدفاع المدني بسرعة للسيطرة على النيران ومنع امتدادها إلى باقي الشقق.
وأكدت المعاينة الأولية أن سبب الحادثة هو انفجار أسطوانة غاز داخل الشقة، ما أدى إلى وفاة شخص وإصابة أربعة آخرين بينهم شخصان يحملان الجنسية السودانية بحروق متفرقة، حيث تم نقلهم على الفور إلى مستشفى «أم المصريين» لتلقي العلاج.
ورغم حجم الانفجار الذي تسبب في تهشم جزء من واجهة البناية، أشار مسؤول بمحافظة الجيزة إلى أن الفحص الأولي يظهر عدم تأثر السلامة الإنشائية للعقار، فيما بدأت الجهات المختصة فحص المبنى هندسيًا للتأكد من خلوه من أي مخاطر محتملة تهدد السكان.
واستمرت فرق الأمن والإسعاف في متابعة حالة المصابين، فيما باشرت الأجهزة الأمنية التحقيق لمعرفة ملابسات الانفجار والتأكد من عدم وجود أي تهديدات إضافية، مع مراقبة المبنى وسكانه حتى انتهاء عمليات الفحص والمعاينة.
The Al-Haram neighborhood in Giza Governorate, Egypt, experienced a state of panic and fear after hearing the sound of an explosion that shook one of the residential buildings, prompting residents to rush into the streets amid screams and temporary chaos.
According to the Civil Protection Operations Room, the explosion occurred inside an apartment on the sixth floor of a seven-story building in the Al-Wafa and Al-Amal area, resulting in a massive fire and damage to part of the building's facade, before civil defense teams quickly intervened to control the flames and prevent them from spreading to the other apartments.
The initial examination confirmed that the cause of the incident was a gas cylinder explosion inside the apartment, which led to the death of one person and injuries to four others, including two Sudanese nationals with various burns, who were immediately transferred to "Um Al-Masryeen" Hospital for treatment.
Despite the size of the explosion that caused damage to part of the building's facade, an official from Giza Governorate indicated that the preliminary inspection shows no impact on the structural safety of the property, while the relevant authorities began an engineering inspection of the building to ensure it poses no potential risks to the residents.
Security and ambulance teams continued to monitor the condition of the injured, while security agencies initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances of the explosion and ensure there were no additional threats, monitoring the building and its residents until the inspection and examination processes were completed.
