تصدرت قضية قتل زوجة وشقيقتها في إسطنبول الأخبار مجددًا، بعدما أثارت المحكمة موجة من الصدمة والغضب بعد قرارها الأخير بتخفيف عقوبة القاتل، في خطوة اعتبرها البعضر رسالة مقلقة حول جدية مكافحة العنف الأسري.
وقبل نحو أربع سنوات، شهد حي بيليكدوزو جريمة مأساوية هزت المجتمع التركي. حينما أقدم فرحات بودور أوغلو على قتل زوجته الشابة فيلدان (23 عامًا) وشقيقتها فاطمة زهرة داخل منزلهما، مستخدمًا سكينًا أنهى به حياة الضحيتين بـ60 طعنة مأساوية.
التحقيقات بينت أن الجاني تصرف بمفرده، وأن دوافعه مرتبطة بخلافات أسرية، لم تكشف السلطات عن تفاصيلها بعد، ما جعل الواقعة أكثر غموضًا وصدمة للجيران.
ورغم الفظاعة، قررت المحكمة التركية أخيرا تخفيض عقوبة القاتل من السجن المؤبد المشدد مرتين إلى السجن المؤبد مرة واحدة، مستندة إلى غياب سجل جنائي سابق له وسلوكه أثناء جلسات المحاكمة. واعتبرت المحكمة أن الجريمة لم تُرتكب بدافع «الوحشية الشديدة»، وهو ما سمح لها بتخفيف الحكم جزئيًا.
لكن هذا القرار أثار انتقادات واسعة من جمعيات حقوق المرأة وناشطات، واعتبره المجتمع المدني انتهاكًا للعدالة، حيث يرون أن أي تخفيف لعقوبة مثل هذه الجريمة يرسل رسالة خاطئة للمجتمع حول حماية النساء.
يذكر أن جرائم قتل النساء في تركيا تتزايد سنويًا، وتظل قضية العنف الأسري تحديًا كبيرًا للمجتمع. ورغم تطبيق القوانين الصارمة، يشدد الخبراء على أن مثل هذه الأحكام المخففة قد تعيق جهود مكافحة العنف الأسري وتضعف الردع القانوني، ما يخلق شعورًا بعدم الأمان لدى المجتمع.

About four years ago, the neighborhood of Beylikdüzü witnessed a tragic crime that shook Turkish society. Farhat Boduroğlu murdered his young wife, Vildan (23 years old), and her sister Fatima Zahra inside their home, using a knife to end the lives of the victims with 60 tragic stabs.
Investigations revealed that the perpetrator acted alone, and his motives were linked to family disputes, the details of which the authorities have not yet disclosed, making the incident even more mysterious and shocking to the neighbors.
Despite the horror, the Turkish court finally decided to reduce the killer's sentence from life imprisonment with hard labor twice to life imprisonment once, based on the absence of a prior criminal record and his behavior during the trial sessions. The court considered that the crime was not committed out of "extreme brutality," which allowed it to partially mitigate the sentence.
However, this decision has sparked widespread criticism from women's rights organizations and activists, and the civil society views it as a violation of justice, as they believe that any reduction in the sentence for such a crime sends the wrong message to society regarding the protection of women.
