أعلنت وزارة النقل العراقية إغلاق مطار بغداد الدولي مؤقتاً أمام الرحلات الجوية، بسبب عطل فني طارئ، مؤكدة أن العمل جارٍ لإصلاح الخلل تمهيداً لإعادة فتحه خلال ساعات.
خلل في إنارة المدرج
وبحسب مصدر أمني، فإن عطلاً في منظومة إنارة أحد المدارج تسبّب في إرباك حركة الهبوط قبيل فجر الأربعاء.
الخلل حال دون إتمام عمليات الهبوط وفق معايير السلامة المعتمدة، ما استدعى اتخاذ إجراءات فورية.
طائرة تركية تعود أدراجها
وأوضح المصدر أن طائرة تابعة للخطوط الجوية التركية كانت قادمة من إسطنبول اضطرت إلى التحليق لبعض الوقت في الأجواء بعد انطفاء إنارة المدرج، قبل أن تتخذ قرار العودة إلى وجهتها الأصلية لتعذر الهبوط.
وأشار إلى أنه جرى إبلاغ الرحلات القادمة بإلغاء الهبوط والإقلاع مؤقتاً، من دون إعلان إغلاق كامل للمطار أو المجال الجوي.

Malfunction in runway lighting
According to a security source, a malfunction in the lighting system of one of the runways caused disruption to landing operations just before dawn on Wednesday.
The malfunction prevented the completion of landing operations according to the approved safety standards, necessitating immediate action.
Turkish plane returns
The source explained that a Turkish Airlines plane coming from Istanbul had to circle in the air for some time after the runway lights went out, before deciding to return to its original destination due to the inability to land.
He noted that incoming flights were informed to temporarily cancel landings and takeoffs, without announcing a complete closure of the airport or airspace.
