وافق البنك الدولي على تمويل جديد بقيمة 350 مليون دولار لمساعدة لبنان على تلبية الاحتياجات الأساسية للفئات الفقيرة والأكثر احتياجاً خلال مرحلة التعافي الاقتصادي والمالي، وتحسين تقديم الخدمات العامة عالية الأثر من خلال التحول الرقمي للقطاع العام.
ويغطي هذا التمويل -وفقاً لبيان صدر عن البنك الدولي- مشروعين جديدين يهدفان إلى إحداث أثر ملموس في حياة المواطنين من خلال توفير الحماية الاجتماعية للفئات الفقيرة، وتعزيز الإدماج الاقتصادي للنساء والشباب والفئات الأكثر احتياجاً، وتعزيز أنظمة الحماية الاجتماعية، وتسريع وتيرة رقمنة الخدمات العامة الرئيسية.
The World Bank has approved new financing of $350 million to assist Lebanon in meeting the basic needs of the poor and most vulnerable groups during the economic and financial recovery phase, and to improve the delivery of high-impact public services through the digital transformation of the public sector.
This financing covers - according to a statement issued by the World Bank - two new projects aimed at making a tangible impact on the lives of citizens by providing social protection for the poor, enhancing economic inclusion for women, youth, and the most vulnerable groups, strengthening social protection systems, and accelerating the digitization of key public services.
