أكد فنان العرب محمد عبده أن صدور الأمر الملكي الكريم بتأسيس جامعة الرياض للفنون يمثل خطوة تاريخية في مسار الثقافة السعودية، تعكس رؤية قيادية رشيدة تدرك قيمة الفنون بوصفها معرفة وهوية وجسراً حضارياً يعبر بالمملكة إلى آفاق أوسع من الإبداع.
وقال في تصريح خاص لـ«عكاظ»: «في بدايات مشواري كنت أحلم كثيراً بوجود مكان يمكن أن تُدرس فيه الفنون بشكل أكاديمي منظم. كان الفن يعتمد في الغالب على الموهبة والتجربة الشخصية، أما اليوم فنحن نرى هذا الحلم يتحول إلى واقع». وأضاف: «تأسيس جامعة متخصصة للفنون يعني أن الإبداع في المملكة يدخل مرحلة جديدة؛ مرحلة المعرفة والتأهيل العلمي. سنشاهد جيلاً فنياً أكاديمياً يجمع بين الموهبة والدراسة، وقادراً على تقديم الفن السعودي بصورة أعمق وأكثر حضوراً في العالم».
وأكد أن هذه الخطوة ستفتح المجال أمام المواهب السعودية الشابة لتجد بيئة علمية تصقل قدراتها وتمنحها أدوات احترافية في الموسيقى والمسرح والسينما والفنون المختلفة، بما يعزز الحراك الثقافي في المملكة.
واختتم تصريحه قائلاً: «حفظ الله قيادتنا التي تؤمن بالثقافة والفن، وتدعم كل ما من شأنه أن يفتح آفاقاً أوسع للإبداع السعودي ويمنح الأجيال القادمة فرصاً أكبر للتعلم والتألق».
Arab artist Mohammed Abdu confirmed that the issuance of the royal decree to establish the Riyadh University of Arts represents a historic step in the path of Saudi culture, reflecting a wise leadership vision that recognizes the value of the arts as knowledge, identity, and a cultural bridge that takes the Kingdom to broader horizons of creativity.
He said in a special statement to "Okaz": "In the early days of my journey, I dreamed a lot of having a place where the arts could be taught in an organized academic manner. Art was largely dependent on talent and personal experience, but today we see this dream turning into reality." He added: "The establishment of a specialized university for the arts means that creativity in the Kingdom is entering a new phase; a phase of knowledge and scientific qualification. We will witness an academic artistic generation that combines talent and study, capable of presenting Saudi art in a deeper and more prominent way in the world."
He affirmed that this step will open the door for young Saudi talents to find a scientific environment that hones their abilities and provides them with professional tools in music, theater, cinema, and various arts, thereby enhancing the cultural movement in the Kingdom.
He concluded his statement by saying: "May God protect our leadership that believes in culture and art, and supports everything that opens broader horizons for Saudi creativity and gives future generations greater opportunities for learning and shining."
