في واقعة مروعة أثارت الرأي العام في تركيا، تحوّلت حياة الطفلة دنيز إسين بوزوكولار إلى كابوس لا ينتهي، بعدما تعرضت حين كانت تبلغ من العمر خمسة أيام فقط، لاعتداء عنيف من ممرضة تسبب لها بشلل دماغي وصرع وإعاقة حركية دائمة.
الجريمة التي نفذتها الممرضة هازال ديريك داخل مستشفى جامعة سوتشو إمام للبحوث والتطبيقات الصحية، تضمنت ضرب رأس الرضيعة بشكل متكرر، والضغط على ساقها بعنف خلال عملية أخذ عينة دم استمرت 14 دقيقة، مما أدى إلى كسر ساق الطفلة وتوقفها عن الحركة.
ورغم اكتشاف إدارة المستشفى للواقعة بعد ملاحظة تورم ساق الطفلة، تم نقلها إلى مستشفى خاص دون إبلاغ والديها، لتظل الأسرة غير مدركة حقيقة ما حدث لابنتهم لسنوات كاملة.
وجاءت الصدمة الكبرى عندما تلقت الأسرة رسالة عبر بوابة الحكومة الإلكترونية e-Devlet عن موعد محاكمة الممرضة، لتكتشف أن الإعاقة والصرع والشلل الدماغي وبقية الأعراض المرضية التي تعانيها الطفلة هي نتيجة مباشرة للاعتداء الوحشي الذي وقع عليها في أيامها الأولى.
وتواجه الممرضة الآن محاكمة بتهمة الإصابة العمد، مع مطالبات بسجنها لمدة تصل إلى ثلاث سنوات. وأكد وكيل أسرة الطفلة المحامي سيت بولات أن ما وقع لا يعد ضرباً عادياً، بل تعذيباً ووحشية متعمدة، مشيراً إلى أن الفيديوهات توثق كسر ساق الرضيعة ومحاولة الممرضة مغادرة المكان دون إبلاغ الأطباء.
وأثارت الواقعة غضباً واسعاً على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، وسط مطالبات بتشديد العقوبة، خصوصاً مع استمرار الممرضة في حياتها الطبيعية طيلة السنوات الماضية بينما ستظل الطفلة تعيش مع تداعيات وآثار الاعتداء مدى حياتها. ويطالب وكيل الأسرة بإعادة تصنيف القضية لتصل إلى حد الشروع في القتل بسبب شدة العنف ومكانه على رأس الرضيعة.
In a horrific incident that sparked public outrage in Turkey, the life of five-day-old Deniz Esin Bozukolar turned into an endless nightmare after she suffered a violent assault by a nurse that resulted in cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and permanent motor disability.
The crime committed by nurse Hazal Derik inside the Sucuoğlu Imam University Hospital for Health Research and Applications involved repeatedly striking the infant's head and violently pressing on her leg during a 14-minute blood sample collection, which led to a broken leg and her inability to move.
Despite the hospital administration discovering the incident after noticing swelling in the child's leg, she was transferred to a private hospital without informing her parents, leaving the family unaware of what had happened to their daughter for a full year.
The major shock came when the family received a message through the e-Devlet government portal about the nurse's trial, discovering that the disability, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and other medical symptoms the child suffers from are a direct result of the brutal assault she endured in her early days.
The nurse now faces trial on charges of intentional injury, with demands for her imprisonment for up to three years. The family's attorney, Sit Polat, confirmed that what occurred is not ordinary assault, but rather torture and deliberate cruelty, pointing out that videos document the breaking of the infant's leg and the nurse's attempt to leave the scene without informing the doctors.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage on social media, with calls for harsher penalties, especially as the nurse has continued her normal life over the past years while the child will live with the consequences and effects of the assault for the rest of her life. The family's attorney is demanding that the case be reclassified to attempted murder due to the severity of the violence and its location on the infant's head.
