وأفادت وكالة الأرصاد الجوية وعلم المناخ والجيوفيزياء بإندونيسيا بأن مركز الزلزال وقع على بعد 143 كيلومترًا شمال شرق تانيمبار، وعلى عمق 144 كيلومترًا.
ولم ترد حتى الآن أي تقارير عن وقوع خسائر بشرية أو أضرار مادية جراء الزلزال، أو تحذيرات من حدوث موجات مد عاتية (تسونامي).
A 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck the Indonesian Tanimbar Islands today.
The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency reported that the earthquake's epicenter was located 143 kilometers northeast of Tanimbar, at a depth of 144 kilometers.
No reports of casualties or material damage due to the earthquake, or warnings of a tsunami, have been received so far.
