قُتل 10 أشخاص وأصيب 10 آخرون بجروح؛ إثر إطلاق نار في بلدة بيكرزدال بالقرب من مدينة جوهانسبرغ في جنوب أفريقيا.
وقالت الشرطة إن مسلحين مجهولين أطلقوا النار بشكل عشوائي على الضحايا في شوارع البلدة، مشيرة إلى أن دوافع الهجوم لا تزال غير معروفة.
وقالت المتحدثة باسم شرطة مقاطعة غوتينغ، العميد بريندا موريديلي:«10 أشخاص لقوا حتفهم، ولا نملك حتى الآن تفاصيل عن هوياتهم، مضيفة أن بعض الضحايا استُهدفوا عشوائيا في الشوارع».
ويأتي هذا الهجوم بعد أيام من حادثة إطلاق نار آخر شهدتها البلاد في 6 ديسمبر الجاري، حين اقتحم مسلحون نزلاً قرب العاصمة بريتوريا وقتلوا 12 شخصاً، من بينهم طفل يبلغ من العمر 3 سنوات.
Ten people were killed and ten others were injured in a shooting in the town of Bekkersdal near Johannesburg, South Africa.
The police stated that unknown gunmen randomly opened fire on the victims in the streets of the town, noting that the motives for the attack remain unknown.
Gauteng Province Police spokesperson, Brigadier Brenda Muridili, said: "Ten people have died, and we do not yet have details about their identities," adding that some of the victims were randomly targeted in the streets.
This attack comes days after another shooting incident that occurred in the country on December 6, when gunmen stormed a lodge near the capital Pretoria and killed 12 people, including a 3-year-old child.
