تحوّل بلاغ عن عنف منزلي في مدينة روتشستر بولاية نيويورك الأمريكية ليلة أمس (الجمعة) إلى مشهد من الرعب، بعد أن أصيب 3 ضباط شرطة بإطلاق نار أثناء استجابتهم للحادثة، ما أثار حالة استنفار واسعة في المدينة.
وصرح ديفيد سميث قائد شرطة روتشستر أن إطلاق النار وقع بمجرد وصول الضباط إلى موقع البلاغ، مشيرًا إلى أن الضباط الثلاثة يخضعون الآن للعلاج في المستشفى، وسط غموض حول مدى خطورة إصاباتهم.
ووصف مالك إيفانز عمدة روتشستر الحادثة بأنها «كابوسنا الأكبر في هذا الوقت من العام»، مؤكدًا أن مثل هذه الحالات تعكس التحديات اليومية التي يواجهها رجال الأمن عند التعامل مع حوادث العنف المفاجئة، والتي قد تتحول بسرعة إلى مواقف تهدد حياة الضباط والمدنيين على حد سواء.

A report of domestic violence in Rochester, New York, last night (Friday) turned into a scene of horror after three police officers were shot while responding to the incident, triggering a widespread state of alert in the city.
