لقي سبعة أشخاص على الأقل مصرعهم بعد تحطم طائرة صغيرة في وسط المكسيك.
وأوضح منسق الحماية المدنية في ولاية المكسيك دريان هيرنانديز، أن الطائرة تحطمت أثناء محاولتها الهبوط اضطراريًا؛ مما أسفر عن مقتل سبعة أشخاص على الأقل، مشيرًا إلى أن الحادث وقع في سان ماتيو أتينكو، وهي منطقة صناعية تبعد خمسة كيلومترات عن مطار تولوكا، وعلى بعد نحو خمسين كيلومترًا غرب مدينة مكسيكو.
وبين منسق الحماية المدنية أن الطائرة حاولت الهبوط في ملعب كرة قدم، لكنها اصطدمت بسقف معدني لمبنى تجاري مجاور؛ مما أدى إلى اندلاع حريق كبير، فيما لا تزال التحقيقات جارية في الحادث.
At least seven people have died after a small plane crashed in central Mexico.
The civil protection coordinator in the State of Mexico, Drian Hernandez, explained that the plane crashed while attempting an emergency landing, resulting in the deaths of at least seven people. He noted that the incident occurred in San Mateo Atenco, an industrial area located five kilometers from Toluca Airport and about fifty kilometers west of Mexico City.
The civil protection coordinator indicated that the plane attempted to land on a soccer field but collided with the metal roof of a nearby commercial building, leading to a large fire, while investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
