لفّت الصدمة مدينة شانلي أورفا بتركيا، بعدما فقد المراهق محمد كنديرجي البالغ من العمر 15 عامًا، حياته إثر تعرضه لاعتداء وحشي داخل ورشة نجارة في محافظة بوزوفا، حيث كان يعمل كمتدرب.
وذكرت تقارير محلية أن صاحب الورشة قام بضرب المراهق بشكل عنيف قبل أن يستخدم مضخة هواء لينفخه «حرفيا» بطريقة أدت إلى تمزقات داخلية خطيرة في أعضائه الحيوية، ما استدعى نقله إلى المستشفى المحلي يوم 14 نوفمبر، ثم تحويله إلى مستشفى جامعي ووحدة العناية المركزة في مستشفى جامعة هاران، حيث حاول الأطباء إنقاذه لمدة خمسة أيام قبل أن تُعلن وفاته.
بدورها، فتحت السلطات التركية تحقيقاً فورياً في الحادثة، حيث تم توقيف المعتدي الرئيسي وإخلاء سبيله مؤقتًا بكفالة، قبل أن يُعاد توقيفه بعد اعتراض النيابة العامة، ليتم حبسه احتياطياً، فيما تواصل فرق التحقيق البحث عن أي مشارك محتمل في الاعتداء.
واستقطبت جنازة المراهق حضورًا واسعًا من الأهالي والمتضامنين، الذين حملوا نعشه وسط حالة صمت وحزن عميقة، فيما انفجرت مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي بمطالبات عاجلة بمحاسبة المسؤولين وضمان عدم تكرار مثل هذه الانتهاكات بحق المتدربين القصّر.
وتعود الحادثة لتذكر المجتمع التركي بحوادث مشابهة، بينها واقعة في مدينة سيلندي عام ٢٠١٩، حين تعرّض مراهق لإصابات بالغة نتيجة نفخه بمضخة هواء خلال مزاح، ولم تُفرض عقوبات رادعة على المسؤولين حينها، ما أثار استياء كبيرًا في الأوساط المحلية.

Local reports indicated that the owner of the workshop violently struck the teenager before using an air pump to literally blow him in a manner that caused severe internal ruptures in his vital organs, necessitating his transfer to the local hospital on November 14, and then to a university hospital and the intensive care unit at Harran University Hospital, where doctors attempted to save him for five days before his death was announced.
In response, Turkish authorities opened an immediate investigation into the incident, with the main assailant being arrested and temporarily released on bail, only to be re-arrested after the public prosecutor intervened, leading to his pre-trial detention, while investigation teams continue to search for any potential participants in the assault.
The teenager's funeral attracted a large turnout from locals and supporters, who carried his coffin amidst a deep silence and sorrow, while social media exploded with urgent calls for accountability from those responsible and ensuring that such violations against minor interns do not recur.
The incident serves as a reminder to Turkish society of similar occurrences, including an incident in the city of Silendi in 2019, when a teenager sustained severe injuries due to being blown with an air pump during a joke, and no deterrent penalties were imposed on the responsible parties at that time, which sparked significant outrage in local circles.
