تحولت ليلة هادئة في مدينة شبرا الخيمة بمحافظة القليوبية إلى مأساة مروعة، بعدما تسبب شاحن هاتف محمول في اندلاع حريق ضخم داخل شقة سكنية، أودى بحياة أسرة كاملة مكوّنة من شقيقتين و 4 أطفال، أحدهم من ذوي الهمم.
وكشفت التحقيقات الأولية أن ماسًا كهربائيًا في شاحن الهاتف كان الشرارة الأولى للحريق، الذي التهم محتويات الشقة بالكامل، بينما أدت كثافة الدخان إلى اختناق جميع الضحايا وعدم تمكنهم من النجاة.
ونُقلت الجثامين إلى مستشفى ناصر العام تحت تصرف النيابة العامة، فيما فرضت الأجهزة الأمنية طوقًا بمحيط العقار وسط حالة من الحزن والذهول بين الأهالي.
وسارعت سيارات الإطفاء والإسعاف إلى موقع الحادثة فور تلقي البلاغ، ونجحت فرق الحماية المدنية في السيطرة على النيران ومنع امتدادها إلى المباني المجاورة.
A quiet night in the city of Shubra El-Kheima in Qalyubia Governorate turned into a horrific tragedy, after a mobile phone charger caused a massive fire inside a residential apartment, claiming the lives of an entire family consisting of two sisters and four children, one of whom had special needs.
Initial investigations revealed that an electrical short circuit in the phone charger was the first spark of the fire, which consumed all the contents of the apartment, while the density of the smoke led to the suffocation of all the victims, preventing them from escaping.
The bodies were transferred to Nasser General Hospital under the supervision of the public prosecution, while security forces cordoned off the area around the building amid a state of sadness and shock among the residents.
Fire and ambulance vehicles rushed to the scene of the incident as soon as the report was received, and civil protection teams succeeded in controlling the flames and preventing them from spreading to neighboring buildings.
