كشف نائب وزير الخارجية الروسي سيرغي ريابكوف أن الحوار بين روسيا والولايات المتحدة بشأن القضايا الخلافية حول أوكرانيا وصل إلى طريق مسدود. وقال في مقابلة مع وكالة «تاس» اليوم (الأحد): إن الاتصالات بين الطرفين مستمرة.
وأضاف ريابكوف: «فيما يتعلق بالتقييم العام للعلاقات مع واشنطن، أرى أن كلمة متعثر هي الأنسب لوصفها في الوقت الراهن».
ولفت إلى أنه يتحدث تحديدًا وحصرًا عن المواضيع التي تُعتبر خلافية في الحوار مع واشنطن منذ فترة معينة.
واعتبر نائب وزير الخارجية أن هذا الأمر يستتبع عدة استنتاجات، «أولها أن الجانب الروسي لا يملك خيارًا سوى تعديل صيغة الحوار مع الجانب الأمريكي».
وكان المبعوث الأمريكي ستيف ويتكوف أعلن أن المحادثات الرامية إلى إنهاء الحرب الروسية ضد أوكرانيا ستتواصل الأسبوع القادم في أعقاب أول مفاوضات مباشرة بين موسكو وكييف منذ أشهر والتي جرت يومي الجمعة والسبت.
وأفاد في منشور على منصة إكس مساء أمس (السبت) أن المحادثات مع روسيا وأوكرانيا كانت بناءة للغاية.
من جهته، قال الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي إن المفاوضات الثلاثية كانت بناءة وتمت مناقشة العديد من المواضيع. وتوقع إعداد تقرير مفصل من الوفد الأوكراني عند عودته، وسيجري تقرير الخطوات التالية على مستوى قادة الدول.
وكشف مسؤول أمريكي أن المفاوضات الثلاثية بين الولايات المتحدة وروسيا وأوكرانيا قد تستأنف الأحد القادم، حسب ما نقل موقع «أكسيوس».
وتهدف المفاوضات إلى إيجاد وسيلة لإنهاء الحرب التي تفجرت قبل أربع سنوات تقريباً في فبراير 2022.
يذكر أن موسكو كانت طالبت أكثر من مرة بأن تتنازل كييف عن أراض، وتتخلى عن آمالها في عضوية حلف شمال الأطلسي (ناتو)، وتتخلى عن جيشها القوي من أجل إنهاء العنف.
في حين رفض الجانب الأوكراني الانسحاب من المناطق التي لم تحتلها بعد القوات العسكرية الروسية شرقي البلاد. وتسعى الولايات المتحدة، بصفتها وسيطا، إلى إقناع الجانبين بتقديم تنازلات.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov revealed that the dialogue between Russia and the United States regarding the contentious issues surrounding Ukraine has reached a deadlock. He stated in an interview with the TASS agency today (Sunday) that communications between the two sides are ongoing.
Ryabkov added: “Regarding the overall assessment of relations with Washington, I believe that the term 'stalled' is the most appropriate to describe it at this time.”
He noted that he is specifically and exclusively talking about the topics that are considered contentious in the dialogue with Washington for a certain period.
The Deputy Foreign Minister considered that this situation entails several conclusions, “the first of which is that the Russian side has no option but to adjust the format of the dialogue with the American side.”
U.S. envoy Steve Wittkoff announced that talks aimed at ending the Russian war against Ukraine will continue next week following the first direct negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv in months, which took place on Friday and Saturday.
He stated in a post on the X platform last night (Saturday) that the discussions with Russia and Ukraine were very constructive.
For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the trilateral negotiations were constructive and many topics were discussed. He expected a detailed report to be prepared by the Ukrainian delegation upon their return, and the next steps will be reported at the level of state leaders.
An American official revealed that the trilateral negotiations between the United States, Russia, and Ukraine may resume next Sunday, according to what Axios reported.
The negotiations aim to find a way to end the war that erupted nearly four years ago in February 2022.
It is worth noting that Moscow has repeatedly demanded that Kyiv concede territory, abandon its hopes of NATO membership, and give up its strong military in order to end the violence.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian side has refused to withdraw from areas that have not yet been occupied by Russian military forces in the east of the country. The United States, as a mediator, seeks to persuade both sides to make concessions.
