أثارت أنباء صدور مرسوم بسحب جنسية 65 شخصًا جدلاً واسعاً في الكويت، خصوصًا مع تضمّنه اسم الأسطورة الرياضية أحمد خضر الطرابلسي، الحارس السابق لمنتخب الكويت.
وتفاعل الكويتيون مع نشر الصحيفة الرسمية اليوم (الأحد) المرسوم رقم 4 لسنة 2026 الذي يتضمن قرارا بسحب الجنسية الكويتية من 54 شخصاً بينهم الطرابلسي، الذي أكدوا أنه كان قد حمل اسم الكويت عاليًا لعقود طويلة، وليس مجرد لاعب، بل أيقونة كويتية متعددة الإنجازات:
فاز بكأس الخليج وكأس آسيا، وكان ضمن المنتخب الذي تأهل لكأس العالم 1982.
حقق كأس العالم للمنتخب العسكري وعمل مدربًا لمنتخب الكويت الوطني.
خدم عقيدًا في الجيش الكويتي.
برز بدوره في تحفيظ الشباب القرآن الكريم.
ولعقود، كان الأذان يُرفع بصوته عبر تلفزيون الكويت الرسمي.
وتفاعل الكويتيون مع الخبر، إذ ذهب بعضهم إلى أن صدور القرار بعد أكثر من نصف قرن من الانتماء والعطاء (1974 – 2026)، جاء مفاجئًا، ما دفع ناشطين في وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي للتفاعل بشكل واسع، مؤكدين أن الطرابلسي اسم سيظل محفورًا في ذاكرة الكويت، وقلوب الكويتيين الذين تابعوا مسيرته.
وعلى الرغم من القرار، تعامل أحمد الطرابلسي مع الموقف بحكمة خالية من التجاوزات، واكتفى بترديد تلاوةٍ مؤثرة من القرآن الكريم، محافظًا على هدوئه وكرامته، كما ألفه الكويتيون طوال حياته.

For decades, the call to prayer was raised in his voice on the official Kuwait television, and his voice is engraved in the memory of the Kuwaiti people.
After more than half a century of belonging and giving (1974 – 2026), the decision came as a surprise, prompting Kuwaiti Twitter users to react widely, affirming that Al-Trabelsi is a name that will remain etched in the memory of Kuwait, in the stadiums, in the mosques, and in the hearts of every Kuwaiti who followed his journey.
Despite the shocking decision, Ahmed Al-Trabelsi dealt with the situation wisely and without excess, contenting himself with reciting a sweet passage from the Holy Quran, maintaining his calm and dignity, just as Kuwaitis have known him throughout his life.
