في عملية أمنية عابرة للحدود، تلقت شبكات تهريب المخدرات ضربة قوية بعد تفكيك منظمتين إجراميتين متورطتين في الاتجار الدولي بالمخدرات، وضبط 22 طنا من الحشيش مخبأة بعناية داخل شحنات من الفلفل الأخضر القادمة من المغرب.
وقال المتحدث باسم الشرطة الإسبانية اليوم (الأربعاء) إن العملية التي أُطلق عليها اسم «رادنور»، نُفذت بتنسيق كامل مع السلطات القضائية والأمنية المغربية، واستمرت ثلاثة أيام من التحقيقات والملاحقات الميدانية، أسفرت عن اعتقال 20 شخصا وحجز كميات كبيرة من المخدرات والمعدات المستخدمة في النقل والتوزيع.
وأوضحت التحقيقات أن الشاحنات المهربة كانت مجهزة بقاع مزدوجة، حيث خبئت أكياس الحشيش داخل صناديق الفلفل الأخضر، في محاولة لتجاوز نقاط التفتيش الجمركي دون لفت الانتباه.
وقد اعترضت الشرطة الشحنة الأولى في محافظة قادس بعد وصولها إلى ميناء الجزيرة الخضراء، وكانت في طريقها إلى مستودع بمنطقة سانلوكار دي باراميدا لتفريغ المخدرات وتوزيعها محليا، حيث ضبطت نحو 12 طنا من الحشيش. وأشار البيان إلى أن أفراد الشبكة كانوا يراقبون الطريق لتنبيه السائقين عند اقتراب أي قوة أمنية.
أما الشحنة الثانية فتم تعقبها من مدينة طنجة عبر نفس الميناء إلى مستودع صناعي شمال غرناطة، حيث تم العثور على مخبأ سري خلف صناديق الفلفل يضم 8 أطنان إضافية من الحشيش، وتم توقيف خمسة متورطين آخرين. وكشفت التحقيقات أن جزءا من هذه الكميات كان مخصصا للترويج على شكل ألواح شوكولاتة مموهة، لاستهداف فئة الشباب وإخفاء طبيعة المادة غير القانونية.
كما أسفرت العملية عن ضبط تسع مركبات متنوعة بين شاحنات ومقطورات وسيارات خفيفة، إلى جانب 7000 يورو نقدا ومسدس أوتوماتيكي، فيما تم إيداع جميع الموقوفين السجن بتهم تتعلق بالاتجار الدولي بالمخدرات والانتماء إلى منظمة إجرامية.
وأكد القائد الأمني الإسباني أن نجاح العملية يعود إلى التنسيق الوثيق مع السلطات المغربية، خصوصاً النيابة العامة لدى محكمة الاستئناف بطنجة والمديرية العامة للأمن في إطار التعاون الثنائي لمكافحة شبكات التهريب الدولي نحو أوروبا.
وتُعد هذه العملية من أكبر الضربات التي وُجّهت هذا العام لشبكات تهريب المخدرات بين ضفتي المتوسط، في وقت تؤكد فيه السلطات الأمنية في البلدين استمرار التعاون الاستراتيجي لمواجهة الجريمة المنظمة وضمان أمن الحدود المشتركة.
In a cross-border security operation, drug trafficking networks received a significant blow after dismantling two criminal organizations involved in international drug trafficking, and seizing 22 tons of hashish carefully hidden inside shipments of green peppers coming from Morocco.
The spokesperson for the Spanish police stated today (Wednesday) that the operation, dubbed "Radnor," was carried out in full coordination with the Moroccan judicial and security authorities, and lasted three days of investigations and field pursuits, resulting in the arrest of 20 individuals and the seizure of large quantities of drugs and equipment used for transportation and distribution.
Investigations revealed that the smuggled trucks were equipped with double bottoms, where bags of hashish were hidden inside boxes of green peppers, in an attempt to bypass customs checkpoints without drawing attention.
The police intercepted the first shipment in the province of Cádiz after it arrived at the port of Algeciras, and it was on its way to a warehouse in the Sanlúcar de Barrameda area to unload the drugs and distribute them locally, where about 12 tons of hashish were seized. The statement indicated that members of the network were monitoring the road to alert drivers when any security forces approached.
The second shipment was tracked from the city of Tangier through the same port to an industrial warehouse north of Granada, where a secret stash containing an additional 8 tons of hashish was found hidden behind boxes of peppers, leading to the arrest of five more individuals involved. Investigations revealed that part of this quantity was intended for promotion in the form of disguised chocolate bars, targeting young people and concealing the illegal nature of the substance.
The operation also resulted in the seizure of nine vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and light cars, along with 7,000 euros in cash and an automatic pistol, while all detainees were placed in jail on charges related to international drug trafficking and belonging to a criminal organization.
The Spanish security chief confirmed that the success of the operation was due to close coordination with Moroccan authorities, especially the public prosecutor's office at the Court of Appeal in Tangier and the General Directorate of Security, as part of bilateral cooperation to combat international smuggling networks towards Europe.
This operation is considered one of the largest blows dealt this year to drug trafficking networks between the two shores of the Mediterranean, at a time when security authorities in both countries emphasize the continued strategic cooperation to combat organized crime and ensure the security of their shared borders.
