في إجراء احترازي عقب «سرقة القرن»، نقل متحف اللوفر العالمي في باريس مجموعة من مجوهراته الثمينة إلى خزائن بنك فرنسا. وأفادت شبكة «يورونيوز» أن القطع التي شملت جواهر التاج المعروضة في معرض أبولو وغيرها من مناطق المتحف، تم نقلها بسرية تامة وتحت حراسة الشرطة. ويقع قبو البنك على عمق 27 متراً أسفل مقره في قلب العاصمة، ويحتوي على نحو 90% من احتياطيات الذهب الفرنسية، ما يجعله المكان الأكثر أماناً لهذه الكنوز النادرة.
وخلال الأسبوع الماضي، اقتحم عدة لصوص المتحف العالمي الشهير في وضح النهار واستخدموا رافعة سلال للوصول إلى شرفة تؤدي إلى معرض أبولو، وفتحوا نافذة بالقوة وكسروا خزائن العرض لسرقة المجوهرات، قبل أن يلوذوا بالفرار على دراجات نارية. واستغرقت عملية السرقة ما بين 6 إلى 7 دقائق فقط.

In a precautionary measure following the "heist of the century," the Louvre Museum in Paris transferred a collection of its precious jewels to the vaults of the Bank of France. Euronews reported that the items, which included the crown jewels displayed in the Apollo Gallery and other areas of the museum, were moved in complete secrecy and under police guard. The bank's vault is located 27 meters deep beneath its headquarters in the heart of the capital and contains about 90% of France's gold reserves, making it the safest place for these rare treasures.
Last week, several thieves broke into the world-famous museum in broad daylight, using a cherry picker to reach a balcony leading to the Apollo Gallery. They forcibly opened a window and broke display cases to steal the jewelry before fleeing on motorcycles. The entire theft took only 6 to 7 minutes.
A prosecutor in Paris estimated the value of the stolen jewelry from the Louvre last week at 88 million euros.
