A simple school dispute between students at an international school in Sheikh Zayed City, Egypt, turned into a horrific tragedy in front of the Beverly Hills Club within the same luxury residential compound.

The incident that occurred last Thursday evening was described by the victims' family as a "deliberate attempted murder," resulting in serious injuries to three members of one family, including severe brain bleeding for the father, leading to his being in a coma in intensive care.

The main perpetrator, the father of one of the students involved in the altercation, deliberately drove his car towards the victims while attempting to settle the dispute, before fleeing with his son, only to be arrested later along with two other family members.

Timeline of Events

The dispute began (on Wednesday morning), when a fight broke out among a group of students inside the international school premises over a disagreement related to "harassing a girl" who studies with them, according to preliminary investigations. The student "Hazem" (the son of the main victim) was one of the key individuals involved, along with the son of the perpetrator (the owner of the assaults).

The school administration confirmed in an official statement that the dispute occurred within the school walls, but denied any direct involvement, indicating that the subsequent incident happened completely outside its jurisdiction.

Hazem's family attempted to handle the matter calmly, as the student went with his cousin to talk to the other party in front of their home within the compound. The altercation escalated again when one of the students insulted Hazem's father (Ahmed), who intervened with a punch to defend his nephew, pushing the assailant away without serious injuries at that stage.

Two days later, Hazem received a call from one of the students inviting him to meet in front of the Beverly Hills Club (within the compound where the incident occurred) to resolve the dispute in the presence of parents. Hazem agreed and went with his father Ahmed and his cousin Said.

The other party arrived by car, and attempts to reach an understanding began, but tensions quickly returned. According to Hazem's mother in an emotional Facebook post, the altercation escalated into an assault, and then the perpetrator's father drove his car at high speed towards the group, deliberately colliding with the three in front of the club's gate, leaving witnesses in shock. The perpetrator fled with his son immediately, leaving the victims writhing in pain.

Injuries and Medical Response

The victims were immediately transported to Dar Al-Fouad University Hospital with severe injuries: "Ahmed" (the father) suffered from severe brain bleeding and loss of consciousness, currently in intensive care; "Hazem" (the son) has an ankle fracture, bruises, scattered wounds, and underwent surgery to insert plates and screws; "Said" (the cousin) has a concussion and a lip laceration.

For its part, the Public Prosecution in October ordered daily inquiries about their condition, and they are relatively stable as of today, but the recovery is long-term.

Legal Proceedings

The emergency police received an immediate report, and the security forces in the Giza Security Directorate managed to arrest the main perpetrator (the owner of the assaults), his son, and another individual within hours. They were detained, and on October 20, the prosecution decided to imprison them for four days pending investigations on charges of "deliberate assault with injury, fighting, and physical assault."

The police confirmed that the investigations include analyzing recordings from the club and compound cameras, focusing on psychological and criminal motives. The compound administration also issued a statement confirming its full cooperation, noting that all parties are residents of its projects and that the incident occurred outside the club's walls due to previous disputes.
