أكد مصدر مسؤول في شركة سناب شات لـ«عكاظ» عدم صحة الرسالة المتداولة بين المستخدمين، التي تزعم أن الحساب سيتم إغلاقه في حال عدم إعادة إرسالها خلال ساعتين، مشددة على أن ما يتم تداوله عارٍ تماماً من الصحة.
وذكر في تصريحه لـ«عكاظ»: «نرجو من الجميع الانتباه، وعدم مشاركة أي رسائل أو روابط مجهولة المصدر، والتأكد دائماً من صحة المعلومات عبر القنوات الرسمية للتطبيق وموقع الشركة».
وأوضح أن هذه الرسائل تهدف إلى إثارة القلق بين المستخدمين أو محاولة الوصول إلى بياناتهم الشخصية بطرق غير مشروعة، مؤكداً أن أي إشعارات تتعلق بالحسابات يتم إرسالها حصراً عبر المنصة أو عنوان البريد الإلكتروني المعتمد.
ودعت إدارة «سناب شات» مستخدمي التطبيق إلى تجاهل مثل هذه الرسائل وعدم إعادة تداولها، مشيرة إلى أن فرق الأمان في التطبيق تعمل بشكل مستمر على رصد وحذف الحسابات أو المحتويات التي تروّج لمثل هذه المعلومات المضللة.
A responsible source at Snapchat confirmed to "Okaz" that the message circulating among users, which claims that accounts will be closed if not forwarded within two hours, is completely false.
In his statement to "Okaz," he said: "We urge everyone to be cautious and not to share any messages or links from unknown sources, and to always verify information through the official channels of the app and the company's website."
He explained that these messages aim to create anxiety among users or attempt to access their personal data through illegal means, emphasizing that any notifications related to accounts are sent exclusively through the platform or the approved email address.
The management of "Snapchat" urged users of the app to ignore such messages and not to circulate them, noting that the app's security teams are continuously working to monitor and delete accounts or content that promotes such misleading information.
